Opposites attract in this magical, delightful contemporary romance from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Say You'll Remember Me. After a wild bet, gourmet grilled-cheese sandwich, and cuddle with a baby goat, Alexis Montgomery has had her world turned upside down. The cause: Daniel Grant, a ridiculously hot carpenter whoโs ten years younger than her and as casual as they comeโthe complete opposite of sophisticated city-girl Alexis. And yet their chemistry is undeniable. While her ultra-wealthy parents want her to carry on the family legacy of world-renowned surgeons, Alexis doesnโt need glory or fame. Sheโs fine with being a โmereโ ER doctor. And every minute she spends with Daniel and the tight-knit town where he lives, sheโs discovering just whatโs really important. Yet letting their relationship become anything more than a short-term fling would mean turning her back on her family and giving up the opportunity to help thousands of people. Bringing Daniel into her world is impossible, and yet she canโt just give up the joy sheโs found with him either. With so many differences between them, how can Alexis possibly choose between her world and his? Review: I never wanted this to end! - Alexis is driving back to Minneapolis when she ends up in a ditch in the small town of Wakan trying to avoid hitting a raccoon. Just great! The tow truck company she called will be awhile but in the meantime one of the locals stops to help her out of her predicament. She decides to stop at the local bar for a quick bite to eat before she heads off home again. Daniel Grant was the guy who stopped to help her, he and his ancestors are a part of the fabric of this small town. He runs his family B&B and is a very talented carpenter. He is also the town Mayor, which is not as arduous as it sounds with a population of 350 people for most of the year. Alexis being in the local bar raises lots of interest for all the single guys. Theyโve either grown up with, know of or have dated every woman in town so Alexis is fair game as far as they are concerned. Daniel swoops in and saves her from them all with his witty banter and general warmth. Alexis has recently gone through a break up. After lots of therapy she has come out much stronger and more aware of what she wants/deserves in a future partner. One thing she does now is that she is not interested in dating or relationships. This is how she ends up spending the night in Danielโs bed. Let me put some context around thisโฆ โDaniel somehow managed to be charming and completely down-to-earth while also exuding pure sex. It was the most baffling combination. And one I wasnโt capable of refusing.โ Daniel truly is a genuinely lovely guy and Alexis probably canโt explain it herself but there is a connection there. A pull towards each other that even after a few hours of conversation over a grilled cheese sandwich they find themselves naked together. Alexis knows she will never return and she really needs a night like this. Daniel does not disappoint, he is attentive, intuitive and gives her a night she will never forget. After Alexis leaves, Daniel is left wondering if it was all just a beautiful dream. This gorgeous, intelligent and articulate woman - who he thinks is waaay out of his league has left her mark on him. He cannot stop thinking of her and he will do anything to spend more time with her. And then she calls him.. Alexisโ path in life was carved out for her before she was born. Her family has generations of surgeons that have come before her but she defied the norm a little by becoming an ER doctor. Not a career deemed as anything of significance to her father. She constantly fails to meet the high expectations set by him and her recent break up with a surgeon he considered a son to him has not helped. Now she is the sole Montgomery doctor left at the hospital and he expects her to step up. As you can see, Alexisโ world and Danielโs are so far removed from each other but despite all of this she finds herself driving to see him most weekends. They are developing feelings for each other, big, huge, deep feelings that can never be any more than that. His life is in Wakan, and hers in Minneapolis - both anchored by the generations that came before them. โThis relationship would never expand. It would never take a deep breath and pull in those around us. It wouldnโt fill its lungs with my people and my life. It would just be this. Only this.โ Honestly, my heart was breaking for this couple. Alexis has one true best friend, Bri (you are going to love her) and other than that no one else is in her cheer team, apart from Daniel. He makes her feel seen, he believes in her, he cares so much for her and put simply, all he wants is Alexis. She is so torn up over what she feels for Daniel, she is being pulled in so many directions and is drowning in the weight of expectations thrown upon her. โNothing could convince me this woman wasnโt made for me to love. I think my soul recognized hers the second I laid eyes on her. Our bodies knew it the very first night. The power she had over me terrified me. But it also gave me clarity.โ Okay, so with all of this heavy angst there are also equal amounts of fun, laughter and swoon :) There is Chloe the goat, Kevin Bacon the pig, Hunter the dog and all the wonderful townsfolk of Wakan. The banter between Alexis and Daniel was so adorable and I laughed so much. I really hope we get more stories from the wonderful secondary characters in this story. Well this was my reading highlight of the month, all those wonderful book feels that I love were here in abundance, I never wanted this to end! โI love youโ he whispered. โWe are together. This isnโt over. And even if you leave, it wonโt be over because youโll take the love with you and itโll bring you back.โ Review: first Abby Jimenez book but wonโt be my last - I read this in two days. I couldnโt put it down. I loved the story. It was original. It had me laughing, crying, clutching my heart with heartache, and kicking my feet giddy. I canโt wait to start the second book.

A Five Stars Gem! I Am in Disbelief at How Great This Book Is!
I am in absolute disbelief over how great this book is! Part of Your World is one of those rare reading experiences where you realize within the first few pages that youโre in the hands of a truly gifted storyteller. Abby Jimenezโs writing is, without exaggeration, one of the most marvelous, effortless, and beautifully flowing styles I have ever read. There are absolutely no fillers โ not one wasted sentence โ from page one all the way to the end. Every scene serves a purpose, every emotion hits exactly where itโs supposed to, and every line feels alive. I read this book in a single day because I simply could not put it down! The chemistry between Alexis and Daniel is magnetic, tender, and deeply immersive. Their worlds contrast so strongly โ her structured, high-pressure, city life versus his warm, grounded, small-town charm โ and yet their connection feels inevitable. The way Jimenez builds their relationship is nothing short of masterful: slow-burn tension, heart-melting moments, laugh-out-loud humor, and emotional depth that catches you off guard in the best way. The themes of family expectations, healing, self-worth, choosing your own happiness, and breaking free from toxic cycles are woven in with such skill that you feel every moment right along with the characters. Danielโs kindness and emotional maturity? Absolutely irresistible. Alexisโs journey toward reclaiming her identity and joy? Empowering and beautifully done. And the side characters โ from the adorable dog to the charming townspeople โ make the world feel rich, comforting, and incredibly real. This book gave me warmth, romance, drama, humor, and hope, all perfectly balanced. Itโs one of those stories that stays with you, one you want to hug when you finish because it made you feel so much. Abby Jimenez simply did not miss. She wrote an emotionally intelligent romance that felt both modern and timeless, and Part of Your World was just a magical work. If I could give it six stars, I absolutely would! My first thought was actually to read Yours Truly, since everyone says it is her best piece of work. But since it is connected to this one, I decided to begin with Part of Your World and leave โthe bestโ for last. Now Iโm thinkingโฆ how in the world is Abby Jimenez going to top this? How can anything be better than what I just read? I cannot wait for the next book in this series. I am so curious to see how this gifted author will work her magic again. I am truly in awe of her talent. What a phenomenal writer!

apart of your world
I have now read 3 books and each one makes me laugh out loud, keeps me up way past bedtime and keeps me smiling while reading. I love the plots, the characters as I can envision exactly what they look like and never wanting the book to end. Thank you Abby for the joy of reading that you bring. I am now a devoted follower.

this was my first Abby j. book and it didnโt disappoint
This was a solid read I laughed. Cried. And loved the people inside with a few exceptions. Iโm not a big age gap lover but even with that in here itโs not a super huge focus so I got over it. It was sweet and tender and heartfelt. The audio was great too

Riveting love story
OK, I just discovered Abby Jimenez last week when I ran across Say You'll Remember Me. Ms. Jimenez is funny, articulate and reveals deep insight into the human heart. Well worth reading, this book is a feel good love story.

Whereโs my heart shaped stones w/ a side of Kevin Bacon??
Abby Jimenez has another banger. I definitely shouldโve read this one first before โJust for the Summerโ because of the recutting characters, but itโs okay because it was still a beautiful read. When I tell yโall Daniel is my perfect man manifested (at least personality wise) Iโm serious. He was so incredibly thoughtful and he never needed money to make Alexis feel special. When he said he searched 2 hrs to find her a heart shaped ring I cried with her. Women donโt ask for much and the fact he did it because her smile and happiness brings him joy it makes him even more wonderful. Not only is he an amazing partner to Alexis but he is an amazing person. All the townspeopleโs look for him for guidance and heโs reliable. AND HE CAN BUILD THINGS. Like cmon im swooning๐ฉ. Now at the beginning, i had a difficult time connecting with Alexis. Her wealthy background and ability to spend 3,000 on a whim, just wasnโt relatable. We not in the same tax bracket lol. Something I could relate to is her need to people please and mental abuse she experienced. Even seeing the interactions she would have with her parents was incredibly frustrating and I felt for her. I understood why she had this need to make them proud but gosh I wanted her to choose herself for once. She also made me mad when she broke up with Daniel talking about โItโs better for himโ if they broke up. *Eye roll* like as soon as she had feelings she shouldโve cut it off like everyone told her to. Doing it at the end when everyone was in love felt like villain behavior. Anyway, love love love Wakan and all the animals. Especially hunter and Kevin Bacon. The townspeople are all amazing. Such a great community. Except Jake. I hope heโs under the jail. And itโs still hate Amber for life. Alexisโ dad sucks, worst father of the yr and we like Nikki and Derek again. โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ/5. Will definitely be moving on to book 2.

It is a good history with a female vision.
t's a good story, there's a female take on a love relationship. There are parts that tend to be fanciful, but they don't compromise the whole.
