I'm a 44 chest and XL fits perfectly with enough room for a fleece underneath. Suggest you look at craghoppers own size guide, not Amazon's, to be certain. Hope this helps

Q: What waterproofing rating is this jacket

It’s rated 8,000-10,000mm per 24 hours. August this year walked for nearly 7 hours in a torrential rainstorm, wearing this coat. I was wet on the top of my head and across my shoulders, I have worn much worse. If it’s a concern gore-tex is rated 28,000-30,000mm, but then again you get what you pay for! Hope that helps
