**Q: is this a universal fit? i.e. it will safely grasp all earrings?**
A: I have used on multiple pairs of earrings, including a couple pair that have "uncooperative" post sizes and so far they have fit all my earrings.

**Q: Is it mixed gold and silver?**
A: Yes the package is mixed, silver in one small plastic bag and gold in another.

**Q: Will these backs fit earrings with threaded posts?**
A: I have some diamond studs that have slight threading on the post ... these slid over just fine...  but of course would not be as secure as the metal back intended for threaded posts... but they did work!

**Q: Will these work with screw-back lock studs?**
A: I really believe they will.  They are very high quality and believe that they will adapt to them.  They are so worth the buy.  Good luck.
