This is a very easy, very good stud/wire finder. I don’t understand why some reviews say it’s difficult to use. It takes 2 seconds to calibrate and then it’s good to go. Extremely easy and it seems to work well. I would definitely recommend it and have been using it for a few days.

In trying to hang a wall mirror in my home, I made the mistake of trying to hammer nails into 2 different walls and hitting a beam both times, and now I have to cover up the shallow hole and damaged paint. I wish I had purchased this little thing BEFORE I did that. But now that I have it, I successfully hung my mirror in a good spot. Note to self: always use this helpful stud finder before hanging anything ever again! It's good quality, easy to calibrate and use, and the instruction video was quite helpful.

Seems adequate, but it's unintuitive and I think needlessly complicated to use. Other stud finders just make you place the unit on a surface, hold a button, and then move to find the stud. This one requires you to place on a surface, then turn the unit on as it goes through a calibration process, and then you move and scan. Again, it's unintuitive. I believe a product that does a simple job like this should be a lot easier to use.

The quality is top notch.

This thing is so worthless. The video is insultingly simplistic and implies that if the finder isn’t working, it’s your fault for not using it properly. Nope, sorry, this thing is trash. It took me half an hour of using it EXACTLY how the video shows to find two studs in my wall, and even then, each time I scanned back over the area the “center” was not in the same place, being up to 1/4 inch different in either direction. Just had to give up using it a second time because I can’t find studs at all in my wall. Fun fact, there’s already holes in the wall where studs are, but this thing isn’t detecting them. If I slightly move my finger while holding the device it will randomly go off and “detect” a stud that I know isn’t even there.

As a first time person who needs to mount a tv, it helped me find all the studs in my wall easily. I'm happy I did that.
