Garfield Cat Litter, Flushable, Instant Clumping, Natural, 5 lbs

WHAT IS GOING ON?I bought this locally in the supermarket and have ordered it from Amazon as I am pleased to find it here. WOW. This stuff is really good. Okay, it isn't perfect. Lets go through it then:Pros:- NO DUST! ITS AMAZING! I finally found a litter where I can pour out the entire bag and not have a cloud appear! I got so TIRED of World's best leaving a film over everything.- I have not had extensive tracking issues with a long-haired breed. the grains are like small pebble-sand and have been actually really easy to see and clean up if they do 'wander out,'- 1 5lb bag about fills up my automatic litterbox. It works well in there. The clumping happens easily.- No dust means my cat isn't covered in a film of dust...its so clean. I don't know how to explain, but this litter really seems more like a bunch of small plastic beads. It seems much more hygienic. It will be very easy to visually tell when they are expired and certain parts need to be taken out.- A decent enough price for it that I will keep buying.- Easy to open and handle bag.- Cat took to it easily as the litter is rounded, not sharp, and is comfortable underfoot. Does not track anywhere near as much as World's best or some other crystal litters I have tried.Cons:- Maybe a con? Maybe not - clumps like crazy. Small amount of liquid makes huge, huge clumps. If your cat takes massive wees, expect something large. This may be good or bad depending on how you look at it. It may turn off cats that need things to be absolutely pristine. It may be very good for people with poor eyesight or want something easy to scoop. It may be bad for people who need to flush something small...this isn't it.- It doesn't stick to poo super well if your cat takes nice healthy solid poos. If you want something to mask smell, this isn't really it.- Not as super-scent blocking as other litters. I'm taking a hit on this due to its other positives. If you have multiple cats and have serious smell issues, maybe you want to mix this with something else. I solved this by a febreeze freestanding scent thing near the litterbox. (Well, I had to do something.)- Not much litter for the cost. I wonder if they knew they had a good product and decided to pay a marketing cost hit for the character Garfield? Unfortunately 5lbs will NOT work for you if you need LOTS of litter.

I've tried hundreds of cat litters. This one is by far the best. It clumps really well, there is no dust, anti tracking, bio degradable, and no smell! I bought this for my toilet training. I use to use Best Way flushable litter and it tracked EVERYWHERE. The grey dark litter also made my toilet look disgusting and the training seat became very gross since it didn't clump well. Ever since I switched to Garfield's litter, the toilet training is so much cleaner I love it!

As many other reviewers mentioned this litter was very clean feeling and doesn't really have a sent to it. My super picky cat which usually spends about 15-20 mins burying his waste leaving an awful mess on the floor to sweep up cut down to about 5 mins after mixing this with World's Best cat litter. Since this was our first time switching the litter we decided to use one bag of this with equal parts World's best. I can tell you that using the two together was great. The Garfield litter made the Worlds Best clump even better than before and definitely did a great job at masking the typical smell. It didn't smell like roses but it also didn't smell like a landfill. With the two mixed together the litter lasted about 2 weeks before it needed to be changed only because again my picky cat decided it was time to change it out. Once we switch to 100% Garfield I will update my review but for now I can tell you this stuff is great and although it is a little pricey it was well worth the price in sleep when my cat didn't wake me to pick up his poo in the middle of the night :)

The best litter I had ever purchased. It doesn't smell and it clumps really perfectly. I could remove the pee with my hand. and it is in fact dust free. It is a little more expensive than other litters but definitely high quality.

It sounded great, but this little did not work for us at all. Looking for a litter that wouldn't stick to my cat's paws and this is NOT it. I found this all over the house and it was very messy.

Great stuff but significantly more expensive than any other product. Is it worth it ? Your choice.

I had a lot of hope for this product, unfortunately it's not for me. It does great for urine, clumps like it should no smell. Cat turds are a different story, maybe my cats are extra stinky, but I cant tell that any odor was absorbed, masked or covered. As for it being flushable, I ended up with a huge clump of urine that took many many flushes to get rid of. I was much happier with Fresh Step, and will be going back to it, sorry Garfield.

So far I'm not impressed, only because the ad says the 5 pound bag lasts a month, and it also says you should have extra to fill back up when you throw out clumps. The problem is that it also says you have to fill the litter box 2-3" high. This one 5 pound bag won't even fill my normal sized litter box 1" high. So much for buying a single bag to try it out. I will be ordering the 3 pack now, just so I can fill my litter box according to instructions and see if it really is as good as advertised when it comes to odor, clumping, and flushing. I'll be back with an updated review when it arrives.
