I bought 3 different flavours as I wanted one to test and the other 2 as evening meals while i'm out over the bank holiday I ate the chilli as a test of the heating/mixing process and as a test of the taste. Very easy to do and there were no dry bits hanging around so that was all good, the food was very nice and the portion was enough even for me (and yes I am a biffa at 20 stone).There web site lists all kinds of extreme and how you can eat them half way up a mountain or taking part in extrime sports, i'll doing gentle walking with the dog and staying on a camp site in a 20 year old tent on my annual get away from it all weekend :) Does this count as extrime :)Stay tuned i'll review the other 2 whan I get back :) Either way I am planning to buy 5 complete days worth to leave on the boat (2) and in the caravan (3) just as back up as the shelf life on the chilli was Oct 2019.

One of very few dehydrated meals that actually tastes rather alright. It comes with the usual caveats, you'll still know you're eating rehydrated food, but this is pretty much top of the bunch, and.. it's expensive - don't pay over £7 for it though, for some reason it's £10.82 on amazon as I write this.If you're after food in a bag this should probably be top of your shopping list, or make your own to take with you for quite a bit cheaper.

Take some time before using to see how much water you will be adding as a small mark on your cup or similar could help.Really tasty and filling after a day out, make sure you wait 5 minutes so that all the water is soaked up and its been given a good stir.Best flavour I have tasted so far.

Very tasty meal. I always carry a small stash of chilli powder when on a hike, just to add further heat to these meals, but with this one it was not needed. Recommended for any hiking trip, whether one day or multiple days. Lightweight, although you have to have the water.

I bought a selection of meals like this one by this company and the packs in general are very good, but this one... really bad.

My daughter used it during her silver DOE expedition and loved it. Highly recommend it as a meal.

Probably the only food of this type I've had any success with.Add boiling water, wait five minutes and you do actually get a good, edible meal.Will buy again in future.

It was hardly edible. too spicy and was of a soup-like consistency. The other flavours are significantly better.
