She could not get into or out of bed on her own which she needs to do several times a night. Once we had this product she was able to do so without assistance, and quickly regained her confidence that she was safe.Product is sturdy, adjusts to different bed heights and different user heights. Not difficult to work out how to assemble - no tools required and there are visual instructions - though some of the little buttons that fit into the height holes were rather stiff so would not be good for someone with arthritis to put together.
