I like that it is smaller than I anticipated and very powerful, the dump bucket comes with a handle which makes things much easier. It decreased my apartment humidity from 86% to 50% in a matter of an hour or two (I have about 1500 sq ft). The hose that is comes with, however... is 25.5 inches long which is only long enough for it to be placed right next to a bath tub. I’m going to have to buy a longer one. You can set it to automatic shut off after a certain period of time or set a preferred humidity % preference. With mushrooms literally growing out of my wall I’ve decided on 30%. So far it stays in the 50-60% range even with that setting... From my understanding, anything lower than 60% is good for mold prevention though so I think I’m in the clear to take the next steps in getting rid of fungus in my walls. Ew. Worked perfect for 2 years then started leaking on floor...luckily hose inside got a little clogged and was able to fix it....still running hard at 4 years and original price was very affordable...I would buy brand again

UPDATE: After emailing the manufacturer's customer service to inform them of the problems I experienced with the product, they got back to me within one day and offered me a replacement or refund. I decided to try a replacement unit, which I received from them within a few days. Unfortunately the replacement had the same freezing issue as the original. When I informed them of this, they apologized and immediately offered a full refund, which I accepted and received within a couple of days. The genuine concern, prompt communication, and quick action from TECCPO's customer service team was impressive, so even though the product didn't work out for me I'm upgrading my rating and can recommend giving the product a try on the chance that I just happened to receive two defective units.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I bought this to replace a Sears Kenmore dehumidifier that gave up the ghost after 15 years of service in my basement. Based on the description and specs, this unit should have easily handled the space’s needs.Unfortunately, after a little over a month I’m regretting my purchase. The “Teccpo” dehumidifier falls far short of expectations. If set to anything less than 55% humidity, it eventually freezes over and basically stops dehumidifying the air. The manual claims that it has an “automatic defrosting function,” but I have yet to see it. This occurs at an ambient temperature of 70F, so it’s not like I’m expecting it to operate in overly cold conditions.I’d return it if I could , but it’s past the 30 day return period.

Don’t buy. Worked for only about a year. Still turns on but does nothing. It doesn’t collect water. Zero response from the seller. Save yourself some money and time and buy a better one then this.

I purchased this unit last year and it worked flawlessly for a few months during summer. Then it was dormant for one year. And now that I need to use it in the basement because humidity is 67%, it is working for half hour and the coils tart freezing up after. I re-cleaned the filter and inspected the coils and they look immaculately clean. However, after unplugging for hours and drain the water from freezing coils, I start it and freezes up again after half an hour.

Bought this for my stand-alone garage which is not insulated. It works perfectly - reducing the humidity to the percentage that I programed. I like that the fan cuts off as well as the motor when the goal is reached. It is relatively quiet and I especially like the small footprint. I'm impressed that it does as well as it does with the humidity we get in Virginia.

I live in a basement, so it gets pretty humid in the summer and spring, making it easy for mold to grow. I bought this a week ago and it’s been working amazing. The first day I had to empty the tank a lot cuz it was THAT humid, but after the humidity was controlled, I probably only need to empty the tank once a day(keep in mind I only turn it on for ~3 hours a day, in the morning and before I go to bed). I also turn it on when I’m cooking because of the steam. I really like the inside drying feature, after I empty the tank I turn it on to make sure there’s no room for mold to grow inside.As for the noise, it’s a pretty noticeable sound, like one of those square window fans, but personally I don’t mind it cuz I love white noise. If you’re looking for a silent machine, this isn’t for you, but if you don’t mind a fan-like white noise, then get this.I don’t really have any complaints. This machine is perfect for my basement and emptying the tank is pretty satisfying to see how much water it collected. The main thing I think you should consider how important noise is as a factor for you.
