Debbie Meyer GreenBags Freshness-Preserving Food/Flower Storage Bags (Various Sizes, 10-Pack)

- I have Debbie Meyer GreenBags in three sizes and I absolutely LOVE them and was so happy to find them here on Amazon. Interestingly, it says to wash between uses, which I have not been doing. I just turn the bag inside out and set it out to dry well, which has worked perfectly for me.- When I put the produce in the bags, the produce has already been washed and dried completely, so it is clean and the bag is clean. I will say it is very important to make sure the produce is as dry as possible before using the bags, as that will keep your food fresher longer.- I put each type of produce into its own bag and, if there is room in the bag, depending on the produce item, I leave a little space between each one. May not be important, but it has worked well for me.- These bags are amazing and have definitely saved us money and from having to throw produce out. I try to purchase just what we will be using, but unexpected events seem to come from everywhere, making it hard to plan at times. These bags keep the produce fresh longer, therefore, giving me a very good chance at being able to use them up.- The medium size is my most-used size, but I do have large and extra large bags as well and I do need them at times, depending on the produce item.- If you have not tried these bags, give them a try, you will likely be amazed! I was and still am. Great and amazing product!- LOVE them!

I was skeptical, I really was. I have tupperware fridge smarts, and rubbermaid fresh works produce savers (which I was pretty happy with), but a girlfriend told me how great these bags were, and what the heck, the price was good, so I ordered them. Let me tell you, these bags are the REAL DEAL. I've used them on lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, onlons, butternut squash, chives and bananas. They WORK. It seems like it just adds like 10 days of shelf life to your produce! Actually, my hubby told me to quit using them on the bananas, cause when you buy the bananas and they are green, they don't seem to ripen in these bags! It's some kind of time warp, I swear, but I'm sold!

i am very frugal - and i hate wasting food. fresh produce was wasted in our house quite a bit. not because we purchased food we didn't really plan to eat - but because we are busy. bananas and strawberries were the most abused. we left the bananas out to turn black - and placed the strawberries in the refrigerator - forgetting to cut them and eat them for several days. these bags changed all of that. i purchased random sizes and some of the bags were too small. not impressed with random sizes - but very impressed with the XL bags. the extra large size bags are fabulous because we can put an entire container of 'SAM'S size' strawberries in one - place in the refrigerator - and forget about them - for days - with no worries. the bananas are good for an entire week in one of the XL bags - we make sure it is closed well. i am in awe of how long we can use our produce now - and we do not have to throw it out. the bags are also re-useable. the cost of the bags is nothing compared to the amount of money we threw out by allowing the produce to go bad - i definitely recommend!!!!!!

Glad I found these. I haven't seen them around for awhile. They really work to keep your vegetables fresh for a long time. They will last for about eight or so washings.

I started using these bags years ago. I have used them ever since. Maybe because this was the first kind I ever used back in the day that worked, I have stayed with them. The green bags are as thick and effective as they were years ago. When I first started using the Debbie Meyer bags people thought I was wasting my money because they didn't want to believe they worked. Now you see grocery stores and everyone using green bags. Debbie Myer use to make a white bag for breads that I thought worked very well also. I have been unable to find those. If you are looking for good quality, thick, long lasting bags, Debbie Meyers bags are it. I have years of experience with them.

These are FANTASTIC! I was profoundly disappointed that I couldn't find them in ANY supermarket in the entire Seattle area (I called almost all of them!) because I'd used them when I took them with me when I lived outside the country. The following is only ONE happy experience: I can't stand soft pears, so I buy them hard, and one time I forgot about my rock-hard pears as they got shoved to the back of my fridge. When I found them about 3 weeks later, I was dismayed because I figured they'd be as soft as baby food, if not rotten. No kidding: in these green bags, those pears were STILL ROCK HARD!! Tips: the fruit/veg should be cold before closing the bags to have the best success. And after using them, they should be put back in the sealed storage bag. I wish they still came with little twist ties.

I've used Debbie Meyer green bags for years. I bought these, but the size doesn't seem to match what I knew from years past. These medium bags are smaller than what I knew as medium bags before. I'll use them, but I really needed the larger size. Also, the bags seem thinner than from years ago. Again, we're not going for tremendous strength here, but we're going for saving produce from spoiling. I'm hoping for good results.

The bags are the bomb! I won't even buy produce any more unless I have some of these on hand. You can keep any kind of fruit or vegetable at least 5 times longer (more for some items) than without the bags, and the food stays like you just bought it the day before. This is really an amazing product and I am so happy that I discovered it, I have saved untold amounts of money on perishable food that I would have had to toss (or probably just not even bought it) if it weren't for being able to preserve the freshness with these bags. They are worth every penny, especially since you can refuse them at least 10 times each.

We love these bags, they really work keeping our produce fresh at least 3 to 4 times longer than a regular plastic bag or containers. We used to buy them a few years ago when we could get them at a local hardware store but they stopped carrying them. Unable to find them anymore I thought of checking on-line at Amazon and was able to buy them through them. I would highly recommend these to anyone that would like to keep their fruit and vegetables fresh and edible for much longer. We have had tomatoes and bananas last for up to 2 weeks in these bags.

Worth every penny! I have been using them for 6 years now, and have recommended them to my family and friends. Would not be without them!

The bags worked well but are a little too large.

These are a must-have for the kitchen!
