I've been using these "Hot Shot No-Mess! Fogger With Odor Neutralizer," for many years and have been very happy with them. Shake for 30 seconds, remove the black cap, rotate the can so that it will point AWAY from you when you depress the lever, press the lever, and run away. I use 2 of these in my 2-car garage every month and 2 of these in my 800 sq.ft. metal shed every month. Before I started using these in the metal shed, I had a real black widow problem. Since then, no problem. The key with this is to do it regularly. If you wait only until you see bugs, it is already too late. Also, it is gas water-heater safe so this blue can is the one that I use in my garage where the water heater is located. Use the blue cans in the metal shed also. The only issue I had was a couple of years ago when they changed the plastic used in the dispenser nozzle (they switched from gray plastic and a white frosted plastic). Those cans didn't work since the white frosted plastic jammed or broke and wouldn't dispense. They quickly switched back to gray plastic, so they figured out that the white frosted plastic was a bad idea. No problems since then. Scott

Simple and easy to use and did not leave any real sort of residue, even though it is 100% recommended that you wipe off and clean any surfaces afterwards. Can't be too sure about the effectiveness of it since I only ever saw 1 spider in the pod that it was used for.

I bought this product more than 10 years ago to kill some spiders in my garage, then never got around to using it. Recently I had a horrible outbreak of Northern Fowl Mites and Red Mites in my chickens. Red Mites are extremely difficult to kill, as they live in the microscopic cracks of the wood in the coop and attack the chickens at night, then leave the chickens and retreat back to the cracks before daylight. The Northern Fowl Mites live on the birds usually, but there was a sudden explosion of mites when the migratory birds came through and infected the chickens, so the coops were thick with both species of mites. I treated both the birds and the coop with all the standard treatments. The treatments on the birds worked, but then they got reinfected every night. It was a losing battle because I couldn't get into every crack within the coop, and the mite population was exploding! Then I thought -- mites and spiders are similar, I'll fog the chicken coop. First thing in the morning I let the chickens out and covered the coop with plastic tarps. I set off 2 foggers inside the tarps, which was about 1/10th the room size that these foggers should cover, so the fog would be very concentrated. Then I sealed the tarps with duct tape so it would be air tight. While that was happening, I treated the chickens again for the mites that were on them. I left the coop sealed for 4 hours, then held my breath and pulled the tarps off. I let it air out for an hour, then took a fan out to thoroughly air out the area and minimize any outgassing from the wood in the coop before the chickens would be put back in for the night. Killed every single mite, with foggers that were more than 10 years old!!! This was almost a year ago, and I haven't had a problem with them since. Bought another box of these in case I need them in the future -- I know they have a very long shelf life.

Has worked great reducing spiders populations in my garage, have not tried indoor the house.

Twenty-five years ago I used one of these foggers to clean black widows out of my two-car garage, and it worked beautifully. Figured I’d do the same again because I found a black widow in a corner, but when this arrived it certainly felt like a much smaller tin than I remembered. Maybe it was just my memory, right? Taped the doors, made things as air-tight as I could, turns off power to the garage so it wouldn’t accidentally combust, set off a fogger and came back next day. Instead of a residual fog the air was so clear I wondered if I hadn’t set it off correctly. Nope, times empty and that stupid spider was still happily living in the corner. Yes, I could have squished it but I was using him as my control subject, figuring when he croaked then could assume any other vermin would be dead, too. So I set off both of the other foggers and came back the following day. This time the spider WAS dead, but still no residual odor. Now, I guess that might be a “new & improved feature” but I’m still perplexed by how small the cans are and how poorly the first one performed. Would I buy again? No…but I’m not entirely sure anything else is better or if my memory of how big the tins used to be is just wrong.

I've tried every bedbug fogger. This seems marginally better than the rest

Used in my car and I don’t notice residue in surfaces or even the glass. Car is still in the garage so I am not confirming that it does not leave any film.
