Thornton's Office Supplies Disposable Fountain Pens, Medium Point, Assorted Colors, Pack Of 12 (TOS-DFPAST12M)

I got these ‘modernized’ fountain pens for my daughter because she thought it would be cool. And cool they are ,not only do they look good, but they work well. You have to write with an angle but that’s realistic! I have to say that when the fountain pens run out of ink. I’ll be clicking the “re purchase” button. The value for money is fulfilled and there were no problems of leakage. The writing ability is awesome!

First, when I opened the Amazon box some of the pens had tried to run away. I assume they must know that they are destined for a mundane life in my employ and tried to run away as I am not a calligrapher. My hands are too shaky for it. However, the pens themselves are great. They write smooth and the colors are vibrant (pic attached). I believe these could be used for calligraphy but you need to weight the strokes yourself, you cannot expect the pens to do it for you. They all have medium round nibs so they are meant for everyday writing. So I do not believe these are good for beginning calligraphers.The packaging isn't great. The sleeve is similar to the rainbow sharpie highlighter set packaging but without the proper utility. The pen clip arms sink into little grooves in the packaging which makes it difficult to pull them out. That's why the back of the package is soft but it is too soft to be of much help for the pens. Re-home these immediately and you won't be disappointed.

Well, the pens work. The caps stayed on and I think the issues other people had with the caps could have just been a batch issue. Some of the pens are stingy on ink and the others let the ink out too fast and it bleeds through the paper. The colors are vibrant but the yellow is very translucent (which is expected when it’s not a gel pen and I’m using white paper). The line quality is pretty basic. It’s like using a regular pen instead of a fountain pen because there isn’t any variance in line thickness in any direction. These are definitely not calligraphy pens.

Loved the color options and smooth writing ink tip. Easy and comfortable writing , glides or paper. ink does not blot. will definetely buy back again.

I really wanted to like the Thornton's Office Supplies Disposable Fountain Pens. They seemed like a great option for those who want the fountain pen experience without the hassle of refilling or maintenance. The pens come in a variety of colors and have a medium point, which is usually my go-to for everyday writing.However, I found that the ink flow was not consistent for me. There were moments when the pen wrote smoothly, but other times, the ink would skip or fade, which was frustrating. To be fair, these pens performed better than most disposable fountain pens I’ve tried, but they still fell short of the reliable performance I was hoping for.In the end, while they might be a convenient option for some, I would personally prefer to save my money and invest in a single, higher-quality fountain pen. The experience of using a well-made fountain pen is worth it, and it’s something that disposable options just can’t fully replicate.

Quality ink - writes smoothly. Worth the price IMHO.
