Apimaye bottom board is the perfect screen bottom boards for 10 frame wooden hives. It can be used safely in all climate conditions. The unique grill design enables ventilation in extremely hot weather, while helping remove moisture from the bee hive at the very cold temperatures. Balancing the moisture inside the hive results in maturing the honey sooner, thus increasing the hive productivity and honey yield. The bottom board is equipped with an integrated pollen trap which is specially designed to prevent bee injuries while collecting the pollen. A built in pollen tray enables collecting the pollen hygienically. It is also equipped with a large drawer under the screen bottom board which can be used for sealing in the winter. The bee hive entrance holes can be opened or closed very easily by with sliding pieces. The entrance can also be width-adjusted based on the climate. The air channels built into the board prevents bee losses during transportation. The folding landing board with a locking mechanism also provides piece of mind. The boards are built tough against impacts and are durable. They are easy to clean, and they are compatible with your hive!

**Q: Will the plastic melt when doing a varoa mite treatment with an oxalic acid vaporizer**
A: Probable.  I’m not taking a chance so I bought a fogger.

**Q: can you use this with Mann Lake 10 frame?**
A: It fit my standard langstroth size boxes.

**Q: Can i use the bottom tray to hold oil?  i'm in hawaii and with shb oil traps are a must**
A: No it cannot hold oil but I put diatomaceous earth or swifter pads In the bottom to help catch shb

**Q: Will this fit the bottom of an Apimaye brood box?  Have a brood box not in use and would purchase one of these with top to create another hive.**
A: This is only for the wooden hives. They can not be used with Apimaye deep or medium boxes.

Excellent product and customer service. I love the functionality of this bottom board. The adjustable entrance is a nice feature for the ebb and flow of the year. The entrance incorporates a mouse-guard and allows you to close up the hive when needed. The pollen trap works well and can be removed or adjusted to allow varied settings for the bees to all pass through the trap or some or none at all. The bottom board's design allows for ventilation but limits the potential for light to enter the hive as is typical for many screened bottom boards. The slide out tray can help with pest monitoring and/or trapping. I tend to be a DIYer but find this bottom board to be worth the expense and the customer service was top notch​.
