It's a perfectly acceptable brush basin for my purposes.
Works as it should and does everything I expected it too. I do wish the divider in the middle were a little higher, but I can live with that. The price cannot be beat.

Keeps my brushes organizer while I'm painting!
I like this one a lot, instead of using a cup to hold my paint brushes and a cup for the water now I can do both in this easy to use and easy to clean container, the material is very sturdy and I have dropped a few times and is still standing. One side is to pour the water to clean the brushes and I like the fact that at the bottom has a ridge design where I can clan my brushes with. On the other side I can set my brushes in order so I can lay them without putting them on the brush holder so the paint does not run. And on one side it has twelve holes to put different brush sizes. No complaining so far!

Just get it. Don't ask questions. Get it. If you're looking at it, you need it. GET IT.
Like, I can't express what a different these things make for my paint group. Before I was getting jars and filling each one and praying the girls didn't knock them over, and they were just keeping the brushes in the water, causing my handles to mush up sometimes (I but cheap brushes, and this was one reason why lol)They would crush the bristles trying to get the paint out and just ugh... Nightmare! So I got these. Let me explain why and a little about the product for someone who isn't familiar with these. This is probably like 6 inches wide, square tub. Half of this tub has little grooves like a mini washboard on the bottom. This is where you put the water. This washboard like thing allows you to move the brush back and forth over it, and ENCOURAGES this from anyone using the tub so they don't get the urge to DIP AND CRUSH a brush. The grooves feel like they are meant to be used, so I found the girls without even prompting moving their brushes back and forth exclaiming about how clean their brushes were getting. Made me smile. The OTHER side of the tub is for storing brushes that you've cleaned off. This allows excess water to drip down in the bottom while keeping the bristles and more importantly, the handles out of water. The groves on THIS side are meant for the metal part of the brush to sit right in, preventing the bristles from doing down to the bottom of the pail. The little groves on the rim on that side allow the handle to rest there so that while it doesn't snap into place, it rests comfortably and prevents rolling from side to side too much. You can fit up to 6 brushes in there at once I think, so you can manage your whole paint piece with that. The only DOWNSIDE to a device like this is that there really isn't much water in this small of a tub, so the water gets muddy really fast. Depending on the painting and size of the painting that I'm doing I will sometimes get either a second, with clean water, or break down and get a jar if it's just me painting and put clean water in it so I will wash in the tub, then wash again in clear if i want a really clean brush for something. (This is because I'm a lazy painter and don't want to get my fat tail up to go empty the water! But you could JUST as easily just go empty the dang water and refill!)

There's really nothing wrong with this thing but I hate it. It's not good to leave your brushes soaking in water, so the one side with the brush holder is useless. It's the bigger of the two sides. I tried to use both sides to just clean my brushes, and it works okay. I thought the divider would be good so I could have one side with clean water and one side that's dirtier, but that didn't really work as planned. It does its job kinda, but it's not much better than just a regular jar.

The perfect brush basin!
This item is a replacement for a brush basin I had fifteen years ago. This one is heavier plastic, with a few design improvements. Made by the same company it shows they listened to feed back. This weighs a bit more but is definitely build for withstanding abuse. Given the cost and the trend to make things thinner and a bit cheaper as time passes I expected a flimsiness that is not present. The plastic is thick, with enough flex that I don't worry about brittleness taking this out of use any time soon.

Pretty useful.
I like having the dual-sided option. The brush holders are pretty small. Overall, I'm glad I purchased it! Definitely a nice-to-have, and not a must have. It takes up a fair amount of space, which matters if you're like our family and don't have your own art studio area.

This is an amazing little gadget and if you want to easily care for your brushes and stop having them warp from resting in the bottom of a cup, this is a must have! I definitely recommend it. This is a good nice size also.

It keeps my brushes clean and ready
I like that this basin has ridges on the bottom of one side to swipe my brush back and forth across to clean and rests on the other side so I'm never smooshing my brushes. When I'm done it rinses clean. It's really nice to have.
