Take your time!
This is like IKEA style assembly process. It took about eight hours to put together.

This a great looking desk that takes a long time to put together properly!
I love how it looks once together. It is a time consuming desk to put together. My husband and I are very experienced at putting together furniture and IKEA too, but this desk took us a good 5 hours working the whole time. Part of the problem is the picture only manual. The pictures are small and do not show good detail as to which edges go up or down as the photos do not say or show. Most furniture this is easy to tell, but the drawers are complicated as they have the desk supports on the bottom. A couple of tips, before starting assembly buy more wood glue, they give you a tiny tube, you need at least 2 tubes of glue. You also need an ratcheting screw driver. They do have some pieces mislabeled. The pieces in question are physically labeled 1, 2, 3 and 4. Going in order of direction 1 and 2 were fine, but then the manual directions show 1 and 2 again, but that in reality were pieces 3 and 4. You can figure it out, but since there are dowels and glue go slowly and figure how it sits before putting each part together. It is worth it, as it’s a nice desk. The drawers are complicated but come out nice and sturdy once done right. The other spot we had an issue with is the long pieces that go on the back holding everything together. It does not show which way these pieces go and the first time we ended up with the raw edge showing if you sit the desk out in the room as we did. They have dowels glued so we had to take it apart quickly to turn that piece with the finished side up. If you place this in a corner it would never show, but because we have one side jutting out in our room ours did and we had to fix it. You have to do a lot of visualizing in your mind because the manual never says which side up etc. There is a lot of crawling around under the desk to put in screws etc. and you really need a second person to hold and push the two pieces together keeping it lined up while the other person is under the desk tightening screws. Also there is a huge (Made in China) sticker that is difficult to get off and leaves a sticky adhesive on the desk. We did finally get it off using a can of lighter fluid we had accessible. It than had to be wiped down well. Our heavy desk box came well protected with foam, all in one box and our pieces were all there and no damage. Today I look at my desk and it is exactly what I wanted and it’s gorgeous. Just know that you Must have additional wood glue and two people and time to do this and you should be happy with it. The desk color is a bit lighter than the picture on Amazon. It is a gorgeous color, unfortunately my bookcase and file cabinet are the darker color but I will make it work, However if you are buying additional furniture for your home office, go with the lighter cherry color for a better match. I do love my desk and look forward to using it.

Not good quality desk
I bought the desk and as I was putting it together it broke on a side of the desk and it could have been replaced by manufacturer. I called them and told them what I needed. I wanted to keep the desk. I was provided no support. I called Amazon. They want me to take this big desk apart and return it as they will not refund or replace the desk.

I didn’t murder him and bury him in the yard
I put this together with my beau, and whilewe had a few minor “tiffs” filled with passiveaggressive comments. I didn’t murder him. We paid close attention to where the screw holes were, and that helped. (That’s what she said). AND we put the bracing panels upside down. Totally his fault. But easily corrected. I didn’t have as much trouble with assembly as most folks. Tips - use a ratcheting screwdriver, get those drawer screws in all the way, and drink some rosé.

Great desk but...
Love the desk once I got it assembled! I found it difficult and took me 3 days starting and stopping.
