Excellent router as expected
Excellent router as expected. The 8xx series is an established line of branch office routers. The reason it is so good is because Cisco (smartly) keeps innovation to a minimum and that keeps the line reliable.Pros:-Sober, elegant line. Looks good in your desk-Fanless. This router is inaudible and passive heat control is great.-Incredibly flexible and feature-rich. The more you know Cisco CLI, the more you'll appreciate this. You can still use GUI but I don't have an opinion about it.Cons:-It's a Cisco = Expensive-Power over Ethernet. Marketing is tricky here. They make you believe it is supported, however it is not supported out of the box. It requires to purchase an additional daughter card (around to $200) as well as a different power supply (not sure of cost. I believe it runs over $100). So what you thought you were saving turns out to be pure fantasy in the end.

Product is falsely advertised
Product is falsely advertised. There is ZERO mention of load balancing in any of the documentation for this device. One of the four so-called WAN ports is reserved for ISDN VoIP service, while another "WAN" port is reserved to be the management interface, and another one of the "WAN" interfaces is an SFP port, so it doesn't interface with 99% of the ISP handoffs out there. So that makes 3 out of 4 interfaces useless for plugging in connections from multiple ISPs.Oh, and this unit was advertised to have a web-based GUI for easy configuration. Firstly, you can't just plug it in and begin to manage it over your network, you've got to connect via console cable (you'll need a 3rd party USB adapter to even do this, if you don't have an old-school console port from the 90s). Once you finally get connected through a 3rd-party console program like PuTTy and run through the initial text-based set up, you can then have the fun task of figuring out how to assign an IP address to one of your FE WAN port for management. Then figure out how to actually enable the web GUI interface. Finally, after all that, you can access the web GUI, which is the biggest disappointment you'll ever see. Look at the attached picture. Seriously, this is it. This would actually be funny if it weren't so sad. You can't actually manage anything from here, only monitor certain things.

Three Stars
Just to be clear, this is not a version that has wifi, despite the images with antennas.
