Ce câble de protection contre le vol est idéal pour les déplacements, il est peu encombrant, il prend peu de place dans une sacoche, 8cm seulement replié et il peut s'étirer jusqu'à 1,80 m pour permettre de le passer autour du pied d'une table, il est léger (160 g), il est également solide puisqu'il est constitué d'un câble d'acier et carbone torsadé dans une gaine en plastique, la serrure est à combinaison modifiable à 4 chiffres, le verrou est actionné par un bouton poussoir pour l'ouverture et la fermeture, on peut l'attacher à tous les appareils munis d'une encoche de sécurité Kensington (95%), Je suis très satisfait de mon choix, quand je travaille sur mon Asus 1000HE dans un café, un coffee shop (Starbucks, Cojean, Columbus cafe, je ne vais pas tous les citer...) ou dans un espace de coworking, c'est très pratique parce que je peux aller aux toilettes l'esprit tranquille, sans avoir à l'emmener avec moi, et ce malgré les convoitises, parce que je sais qu'il est bien protégé, parfaitement bien fixé comme il l'est à une table, je suis certain de le retrouver lorsque je reviens à ma place. Je conseille cet antivol dissuasif qui est de bonne qualité.

Contrary to the review "Far too easy to reset combination", Kensington tech support state that the procedure for resetting the combination only works whilst the lock is unlocked [whilst the existing combination is shown on the dial]. I called them to check this. The illustrated product guide at http://accoblobstorageus.blob.core.windows.net/literature/9f1dee71-5369-4ed9-9a8e-d285fa734409.pdf tries to illustrate this [but does not explicitly state the fact]. The combination lock is therefore effective, its resetting mechanism is a secure one. After checking this, I ordered one a few minutes ago. I have previously only used their keyed locks so I was very concerned by that earlier review. Edited 11 April 2015 - I have received the lock and have checked it for myself. The combination can only be changed whilst the existing combination is on the dial so the resetting mechanism is a secure one. The lock with its cable is so small that I won't even notice the room it takes up in my bag. The cable is coiled up so it is only about 3 inches long when not in use. I chose to buy it directly from Amazon rather than some anonymous Amazon Marketplace seller so I could be very confident that it was not a fake so that, in turn, I would only have to assume that Kensington designed the cable to withstand wirecutters [the cable is half the diameter of my old keyed Kensington lock]. Since Kensington boast about leading the industry, they have probably designed it well even if they do not state any precise specifications for its strength - "Kensington invented laptop security. Kensington locks are engineered to deliver both protection and ease of use. Our locks have been tested to set the industry standard and constructed from quality aircraft grade steel. Superior strength lockhead to resist tampering" The lock fits easily into the slot on the two [Dell] laptops I have tested. Some users have reported that they had to trim the rubber scratch-avoider bit to make it fit in properly but I did not need to do anything. If you want to know about its compatibility with your PC, you could ask Kensington [0203 364 5390] if they have a compatibility list. This is a top quality bit of kit, I can understand why Kensington are the brand leader when it comes to laptop locks. I especially like the interchangeable lock pins which means this will fit any of the 3 slot types, meaning I won't need to worry if I have a different laptop in future. It was easy enough to set up and can be locked and unlocked from my laptop in a matter of seconds. The tensile cable itself is robust enough to deter a chancer but someone who is determined enough could cut through the cable eventually, but this is true of any cable locks (I'm thinking bike locks that are similar). I was surprised by how light it is which means carrying it in a laptop bag won't be a problem. It wasn't the cheapest option but I am optimistic that it will last me a good number of years.
