Great Cam and a Great Price! Packed with features
We purchased the F7N Redtiger camera about 18 months ago and it has now paid for itself 100x over when it provided evidence to the police and insurance that my wife was not the one at fault in an accident that totaled her vehicle and the other party lied to the police. My wife was going to get the ticket after the officer talked to the other party first, but she was able to show the officer the cam video and they reversed course and issued the ticket to the other party. Then the other party lied to their insurance, but after providing the video to their insurance, the adjuster immediately accepted 100% responsibility. Easy to install and with clearly written English instructions. Great suction cup with integrated GPS antenna makes installation a breeze. Cam will slide off mount if you want to hide it while parked without removing the entire mount. Crystal clear video, front at 4k and back at 2k, produce high resolution video where you can read license plates and even identify who was driving another vehicle. Even more importantly, it has a good app that you can use to directly download video from the cam without pulling the card and taking it to a computer. Just in case you are in an accident, you can instantly download the relevant video to your phone and show to Law Enforcement and e-mail to your insurance company. This is hugely important so a ticket can be issued to the at-fault party on scene as my wife did. If you can't show the officer when writing the report, they may issue the ticket to the wrong party or no one if they can't figure out who was at fault. If this happens, it's a long up-hill battle to get the other party's insurance to pay out and the police will never cancel an incorrectly issued ticket, so it forces you to go to court to defend yourself. If you are in a serious accident (if anyone goes to the hospital, it's serious), the officer may confiscate the SD card or even the whole camera for evidence. You may not get it back for weeks or even months. Sometimes they get lost an then you have nothing. Have a copy safely on your phone so you can give it to your insurance company and lawyer immediately! Buy the REDTIGER F7N Dash Cam Hardwire Kit to go with it if you want 24/7 monitoring without killing your car battery. Never wonder who backed into you in a parking lot or keyed your car if it happens to you. Some things that set Redtiger apart from the others: They actually have tech support. We had an issue with one camera not liking our SD card and contacted support to see if we had a bum Cam or bad setting as the issue was intermittent. Turns out it was just a faulty card after running a write test on the computer. Not a big issue as SD cards are cheap, but good to know that if you have an issue that Redtiger does support what they sell. Software updates. We've owned the F7N for about 18 months and have received software updates to improve functionality. The cam was great when we got it and even better now with new features added. Proof in the pudding: We liked our F7N so much we just bought another Redtiger cam, a F7N Touch, for a new (to us) vehicle and it's great too. Note: I wasn't paid for this review nor given a demo unit or anything else. I'm only a satisfied customer that is enjoying the premium quality and features at a great price vs the big-name competitors and their high prices.

Best one out there.
I added this to my Civic and had my friend (car guy) hide the cables under the ceiling of the car. cable length was enough to do so which was great. camera has a great price for what it does. pictures are clear. i suggest upgrading the memory card, I didn't find the record time long enough. camera beeps every few weeks for me telling me to erase recordings to make space. it records while parked if there is movement which is also very nice. had a car hit my parked car and leave, this was luckily all recorded. the quality of the recording is more than enough as well. sucktion holds very well, just sometimes falls off when it'd too cold or too hot but that is expected. great alternative if you don't want to install one from the dealership.

Has a some issues
Secondary edit: I'm giving them an extra star for their fantastic customer service (none of this was promised for the low low price of a 5 star review) It's the kind that keeps you loyal. They didn't blame me for anything I misread (such as stupidly installing the rear camera sideways and complaining about that. A hinge is NOT needed. Just make sure you install it the right side up. The camera can be fully rotated. Look in your car if you want.) They refunded the hardwire kit and got me one that uses the OBD port since my cars fuse box setup is awful. They have a model that can be tilted up/down and side to side. They got me that to try. I am now able to see the whole road, and was able to put the camera even further over so it's not smack dab in the face of my passenger. Another thing I like that I forgot to point out is that they come with these clear sheets that go on the window before the adhesive. Makes it easier to get off and doesn't leave a sticky film behind. The hinge I got left a mess and friggin lifted a bit of my window tint -_- Luckily you can't tell from the outside unless you know and can't see it in the car cause it's up high. Still super upset. I had zero issues like that removing the cameras to change them. I don't know if other cameras come with higher camera quality. There's probably some super expensive ones that do. But this is good enough you will be able to see the license if anyone rear ends you or if something happens and you rear end someone. I can't attest to the setting that makes it so if you're in an accident, or more importantly if you're hardwired, make it start recording to catch who sideswiped you in the night for example, and locks the video so it can't be recorded over. I will say I VERY honestly would like to never be able to review that setting. Edit: the camera does show license plates in front of you, just not super far, as I misread in the listing. So if there's an incident you at least get that. I've been informed that the camera has a large temperature range, including over 150ยฐ F, so it should be fine within the car. Customer service is super good. Either they use a much better translator, or it the person isn't using Google translate. There were no offers made to encourage a star change, just offers to make things better, and point out parts of the listing I misread. Which considering many bad reviews I read were about things mentioned in the listing, I am plenty guilty of as well. Will come back later with edits if needed. Firstly, if your want 24/7 recording, the listing mentions you need the attachment that connects to the fuse box, rather than the cigarette lighter. And luckily the attachment comes with a voltage meter, so it shouldn't drain your battery. Concerned that it runs so hot. It's still winter so it's running in the 60s outside right now and it's quite warm to the touch. I'd hate to know how it'll be when the weather is 100 outside. I don't like that you have to be in the car pretty much to access the cameras files, but I will give, it makes sense. It can't connect to your phone when you're quite far from it. The reason it bothers me is if someone breaks into the car and takes the memory card, you're screwed on footage. Alas. One thing I'm docking for is the picture quality. It's not nearly as good as it claims to be. It wasn't able to see the license plate of the neighbor across the street. Besidess that, the quality is pretty clear. You can change the videos to record in either 1, 3 or 5 minute clips. It records two separate videos for the front and rear camera. Another issue I have with it is while the front camera can be adjusted to look higher or lower, it can't be rotated to the sides. At least not easily. I'm really pushing the suction cup to get it to see my side of the car better. In it's defence, they expect you to attach it behind your rear view, and I can't as my car has a giant, I dunno, thing, behind it. (I think it's the housing for the front camera) So I had to put it more on the passenger side. So I won't fault them too much there. I will fault them for the lack of adjustiblity of the rearview camera. I have no clue why, but Ford Fusions have the STEEPEST rear window I have ever seen. So right now it's looking at the clouds. I have purchased a hinge to be able to adjust its view. Shouldn't need to buy an extra part for the thing. (Then again you shouldn't have to pay 20 bucks to hook it up to the fuse box either.) Anyway, we'll see how it goes.

Great Dashcam. Fabulous Customer Service! Insufficient Parking Mode Instructions (read below).
Purchased this for my wife's RAV4. I like having both the front and rear cameras and love how compact they are; they are fairly unobtrusive in both locations. The front camera is mostly behind the rear-view mirror (the camera is small enough to easily fit entirely behind the mirror, but the car's OEM black box against the windshield is already occupying the ideal real estate). The rear camera is tucked up at the top of the rear window (just at the top of the rear wiper sweep area) and is barely noticeable. I liked that I could rotate the rear camera in its holder to the view angle I wanted. The cable length on the rear camera was more than sufficient to reach front-to-back in this car (and easily tucked away behind the headliner and other trim pieces), but I'm not sure if it would be enough for a full-size SUV like an Excursion. It does have an inline connector near the rear camera which was convenient when installing the rear camera and running the wire and may allow for an extension to be used. The video quality looks great. I set my front resolution down to 1080p since I feel that will be sufficient for our day-to-day needs. In my opinion, the quality of the footage will be impacted more by how clean the glass is and the weather conditions outside than the quality of the cameras. I like that I can set whether and how long the screen is visible when the dashcam is on. Most of the time, I prefer to have the displays screen off. It takes some clicking to get through all of the menus, but I found the UI intuitive and easy enough to use. The included lighter adaptor worked fine, but I got the hardwire kit (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09WCTZ3Y8?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1) to run permanently and to enable Parking Mode (see note below). I also got the 3M Mount (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09SFY13TZ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) so I could mount the camera a bit higher behind the rear-view mirror. I'll use the suction mount and lighter adaptor when using the dashcam on trips in a rental car. You'll want to get a larger (e.g. 256 GB) High Endurance U3 SD card (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P4HBRMV?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) as the included SD card is only U1. NOTE on the hardwire kit and Parking Mode: I connected the wires as instructed (yellow->BATT, red->ACC, black->GRD) but did not see the behavior I was expecting from the dashcam: the dashcam immediately turned on even though the ACC power was off, and I could not turn on Parking Mode. This led me to believe that the documentation was wrong, so I reversed the red and yellow wires which resulted in the dashcam not turning on until ACC power was on and allowing me to set Parking Mode (or so I thought), so I felt that I had figured it out. However, I then realized that the dashcam would not stay on - it never recorded any footage while the car was on (or off). Gratefully, I found a Q&A response from "Elizabeth B" back on 10/7/2021 which explained how to properly set up Parking Mode (which doesn't appear to be documented anywhere with either product): 1. Connect wires as described above (Yellow = constant 12v, Red = switched 12v, Black = ground). 2. Turn on acc power (but do not start engine). 3. Press menu button and select "Parking". 4. While blue message box is shown on the F7N display, turn off acc power (this has to be timed well). You should see a new blue message box and the F7N unit will power off. 5. Turn acc power back on (but do not start engine). 6. Press menu button and select "Parking". 7. You will now see the menu options for Parking Mode and be able to configure it how you like. credit: Elizabeth B. (Attention REDTIGER: You should include these steps in your documentation and compensate Elizabeth.) After reverting my wire connections back to match the documentation and following the steps above, my hardwired dashcam is now functioning perfectly - including Parking Mode. Even though my installation and set-up experience with the hardwire kit wasn't ideal, I do have to say that the REDTIGER customer service was outstanding! They were responsive, proactive, and empowered to do the right things for their customers. Thank you Nora! As for the apps, the Android app seems to work sufficiently well. It does take a LONG time to download the video files over the dashcam's wi-fi. I prefer to remove the SD card and copy the files directly to my PC. I'm not very impressed with the PC app (Windows 10) yet. I tried it only once, but it seemed to have a hard time after viewing the first video, and even that wasn't great. It's intended to show both front & rear video simultaneously, which I think is great, but I haven't been able to get it work very well. I'll try again and see if I can get it run better. I was surprised to discover that the rear camera records audio, so it doesn't sound great when both front and rear audio are played at the same time. I muted the rear audio and used just the front audio. The video files run just fine on third-part video players. Bottom line: I love the dashcam and rear camera; easy to use; good video; absolutely fabulous customer service.

Do NOT buy this camera if you plan to use parking modeโฆ
I purchased this camera before moving to a big city that is known to have an increase with car break-ins and damage to personal vehicles. My plan was to purchase the hardwire kit and have parking mode running as a second set of eyes on my car. Anyway, the installation of both the camera and hardwire kit was fairly straightforward. Anybody that can operate a smartphone could navigate the settings on one of these cameras. I would say that the memory card provided is pretty small and once the camera starts recording, you notice there wonโt be space for very much footage - especially if you intend to capture videos in parking mode. The problem I had was communication between the app, the camera, and the hardwire kit. There was always some sort of issue! This hardwire kit is fairly easy to install. One wire goes to the ground, one to a constant hot (such as the battery) so it always has power, and the last wire to ACC (some sort of accessory) which has power when the car is on, but turns off when you shut the car off. We tried many variations of ACC and constant connection, made sure there was proper voltage, even purchased a larger memory card, tested and REtested the connection with an electric light tester, etc. The camera was always showing it had power and that it was recording when it should have been, but the footage wouldnโt be there from when the camera should have been recording in parking mode. All settings for parking mode were arranged. The camera recognized the hardwire kit and displayed a large โPโ on it which is the icon for parking mode, but again, there was never any footage. After all of this, I reached out to RedTiger customer service AND tech support. They STARTED off nice. In supportโs first response, they said rest assured if I followed the troubleshooting they sent me and it didnโt work, they would replace my items. Well, guess what? The troubleshooting didnโt work and then they jerked me around, asked me a million more questions, asked for photos, the whole nine yards. I sent everything they asked for, even more, and maybe that was my mistake. Next, they would say oh I need another photo or send me another troubleshooting list even though they sent that same one to me 2 emails prior. I mean how different can a fuse box look from one photo to another? You canโt exactly cram a phone or camera up there to take a photoโฆ Well, now I have jerked around with this camera and these customer/tech โsupportโ people for almost a month. The camera arrived on March 4th and it is now March 26th. Of course this is a long review, and if youโre still with me, I applaud you. Save yourself the time, energy, stress, and sanity. Do NOT buy this camera especially if you plan on using the parking mode! After this disaster, I purchased the ROVE brand dual dash cam. It took the same amount of time to set up as this travesty. The ROVE camera announces when it is switching modes (you can also turn that feature off), Parking mode on/off, recording, stop recording, Wi-Fi on, WiFi off, etc. The best part is - all of my footage is there! It has been like night and day. Edit to add: After receiving this review, RedTiger did reach out to me. In an effort to make things right, a different customer service representative said they would be sending me replacement products. I still plan on keeping this review up, as it was a nightmare dealing with the camera, hardwire kit, and trying to resolve the issues we were having. I feel everyone deserves to know if they are thinking about purchasing! However, everyone also deserves to know that RedTiger reached out and tried to clear the air. Good luck to all of you folks. I hope you find the camera that best fits your needs!

Great Support Staff
This is my first dash cam, so other than reading reviews, I new very little. It's been my experience that the accompanying instruction manuals are often of little help, although this one was slightly better. I also turned to youtube but even they, left things out, that I wanted to know. How do you turn the unit on and off, how do you pause a recording, why are there only four buttons and so many icons and how am I supposed to remember how to use the same button for a variety of functions? There was a phone number in the manual, so I figured I'd better call it in hopes of reducing my frustrations. They were extremely accommodating and ran me though a one on one, step by step, assistance. I also kept trying to use this cam as a touch screen, since after all, every phone these days has this feature. It was explained to me that there was a touch screen but that I had ordered a model without. Believe it, or not, they helped me out with that and I now have a Touch model, F7NT. I gave this five stars because this company is amazing and the cameras are superb. I therefore did not detract a star because I am convinced that they will listen closely, make a few changes and then they will have the best possible cams. Negatives: Too many icons on the cam video screen. The icons are too small and virtually useless because they are on your windshield, which is difficult to reach. All this does is create confusion. Sometimes the cam wants you to turn off wi-fi to access features, which is ridiculous. Wi-Fi should always be on whenever the phone is nearby and it should record to your phone so that you can access all features as you like on your phone. The small screen on the cam is virtually useless. Playback choices should not be visible on the cam. Remove as many icons as possible and apply them only after video is downloaded to your phone or to a computer. Negatives: Downloading to a phone is nearly impossible or at the very least, far too tedious. Solution: Remove the SD card from the cam, utilize a thumb drive for the SD card and view your video on your laptop or PC. There is a Redtiger Player available that you can and should download that contains all of the functions for playback of this cam. Negatives: When playing back the video the informational text for things like time stamp, GPS, etc. shows up at the bottom of the screen, which can sometimes make it hard to read, since it's also very small. Solution: Place the informational text at the top of the screen, which generally is viewing SKY, and make it larger since this area is not of importance in any way. Negatives: There is a time setting where when files are created, you must choose - 1 minute, 3 minutes or 5 minutes. Thereby after downloading files you can select from a bunch of files, presumably to facilitate finding the file you wanted. Still tedious indeed. Solution: As the cam is recording, allow the recording to directly access and download to your phone without interruption. Perhaps have a 1 hour period and then over write to withhold no more than one hour on your phone. If there has been an occurrence you can simply SAVE the file. To view it you could easily see it on your phone or you could send it to your big screen tv. The SD card would merely become a backup for emergency situations. Bottom Line: The suggestions above are really about User Friendliness. If anything, I believe that they have attempted to input too many features. I'm recommending simplifying the process with slightly different thinking. I also recommend buying the Touch model, as without it, it's somewhat awkward to use. The picture quality is great, front and back and the service is excellent. You get what you pay for. The method of operation and the thought pattern for usage should be that you view your video on a laptop, or pc, on the Player app that is provided. In short, the cam records, the app provides viewing via computer. I really like the app since it provides both front and rear at the same time, plus you can zoom the view and even choose only front or only back as you like. All info is visible like GPS, a google may of travel, speed of travel, date and time. This app is a very important part of the operation. Still it could use a bit of tweaking. Overall, I love this thing. I can't imagine what it would have been like to have this in the early 80s when I was a private investigator.

Not compatible with Andriod Auto
Does not work well with Android Auto. The camera wants to use its own wifi and Android Auto uses wifi too. The car and the camera get into a connectivity fight and your connection bounces back and forth between them. Your phone automatically connects to the car and disconnects you from the camera. I tried for a week to find a way to use the app, but to power up the camera I had to turn on my car which activated Android Auto. The only way I could connect was to force my car to forget about my phone, connect to the camera, download the things I wanted and then re-establish the Andriod Auto connection to the car. Also, I took at least 20 pictures, but when I went to get them from the camera, there were only two pictures left. I think it deleted the pics to make space for more of the driving videos. I'm really sad those pictures were gone. The resolution was okay for a dashcam, but pics on the phone were definitely better in resolution and focus.

High quality and good value for money.
The kit was delivered in a high quality box with everything needed to plug in and work with minimal set up. The instructions are simple to follow but I think most people would find the settings quite easy to follow simply by plugging it in and having a play with the buttons. Having been a user of dashcams for the last 15 years, I was pleasantly surprised with the build quality & feel of the unit. The gps module is part of the mounting bracket which sticks easily to the screen and in turn, the camera is held in place on the slide-on bracket by a strong magnet. Although delivered with a 32gb card, I fitted a good quality 256gb memory card to give me plenty of storage capacity at the highest quality camera settings. The app was easy enough to download and use on the Android platform and the desktop app on windows works without issue and provide all relevant details. I have yet to try the rear view camera which is not so easy to fit in my 4x4 pickup which also has a rear canopy - The window of which I can never really see through due to the dust & muck attracted to the rear window! Luckily my truck driving experience has taught me to rely on my wing mirrors rather the rear view. I am considering setting this camera up as an 'in cab' monitor. The sound quality of the recordings is good - I just pray that in the event that I have an incident that requires me to produce the footage, I have some decent music playing and that I'm not, god forbid, singing! The night vision seems good. I am mostly in rural areas but the first trip for me included rural & dark main roads, plus lit motorway and towns so a good mixture and appears good throughout. All in all, I am extremely pleased with the unit and having given it a good test to prove the capability and quality, I will now fit the hard wire kit. One of the main reasons I chose this unit was the Super capacitor rather than a battery which from personal experience have found do not like potential wide range of temperatures in cars. I may add to my review once I have experience of the summer temperatures. Compared to other cameras & kit on the market, I would recommend that you add this to your final list for serious consideration.

Read before buying!!
This does not deserve the amount of 5 star reviews it gets. I've broken down the pros and cons to show why. Pros: - Front dash cam is high quality. - Basic bells and whistles extras. Cons: - Installation can be fiddly and non adjustable beyond tilting up or down. - Rear camera is very low quality. I thought 2.5k from the product heading, but it is for the front camera to increase recording FPS. The rear camera is 1080p, which is very low by today's standards. - It overheats, which will age components at an accelerated rate. - It stops working the moment the engine is off, meaning it won't record a potential accident that affects the power/engine. - It gets tedious having to go through settings and enable WiFi through the dash cam every time. - While connected to the dash cam WiFi, your phone is essentially in offline mode and cannot use basic features such as music streaming and take calls over internet (WhatsApp, Teams, etc.). - The app is little more than Google maps in offline mode with dash cam live stream taking up the top half of the screen, not worth the sacrifice when Google maps + mobile data gives you so much more. The current design means that you are better off not using the app until after your drive is over to access stored footage then, which defeats the purpose of the majority of the features on offer. The trade-offs and design flaws are not worth more than 2 stars at most, and I cannot understand all the high ratings. Most of the accurate reviews I've seen are in the 1-2 star region for this product.
