With summer quickly approaching, the sun will soon become extreme and although we use sunscreen, long days working outside require extra protection. Because this hat includes a sundana, we have the option of protecting the head, the face and the neck or slipping it inside the hat and using its extra layer of protection from the sun directly on the head alone. Before ordering, I checked out the Seirus website and viewed a couple of you tube videos on the sundana and how to convert this hat, so I knew what to expect before placing the order.Upon receipt of the package, my first reaction to the tan camo style was that the gray sundana was lighter in color than the computer image and much nicer looking than I'd imagined. The feel of the fabric is softer than I'd anticipated, the snaps are more sturdy, the hat is lined in black, and the rows of stitching along the brim are nearly perfect. I was impressed by the comfort of the hat as well as its appearance on the head in all of its conversions. I ordered the S/M size and found the sundana to be snug, but expect it to stretch a bit with wear.This is a good hat for windy and hot weather where protecting the skin is especially important. I'm glad I purchased two for people I care about because I want them protected while working long days on the farm. Great hat for working in the garden and resisting flying stuff. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very good floppy sun hat *by J***K on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on April 9, 2012* Very pleased with this sun hat especially when you consider the Amazon price. The attached sundana is a great feature that can help keep the hat on your head since there is no cord or strap. I've found that the hat is a little loose on my head when I simply let the sundana drape against my neck but it would never fall off on its own. My preferred ways to wear this hat are with the sundana around the top of my head where it acts like a sweatband or with the sundana pulled down past my chin where it fully covers my ears and neck without looking silly as it usually would covering my mouth and nose. The hat and sundana dry extremely fast so there is no fear of sweating a little bit and having a wet hat the rest of the day. Great sun protection without looking too goofy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Sun Protection *by S***T on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on September 17, 2012* I coach and wear this outside in the Florida Summer and Spring for at least 3 hours a day 120 days a year. This hat was purchased after a day when I sunburned my forehead even with sunscreen on. It is almost perfect except for the neck protection. I can see a time and place for it, but don't need it most of the time so it would be nice to have a place to tuck it into, but instead you have to put it up into the hat every time you go to put it on. I ended up cutting mine off. Still, great hat, washes well when it gets sweaty and nasty.
