taking lines from models is not covered in detail in other books.
Book was thin but information was there plus the hard to find description of a 1939 published article (by Mr. Bertram Booth) about making a simple device designed to take lines from a model. This device was the main reason the book was purchased. The book is skimpy on the larger topic of lofting. The author's book, 'Building Small Boats', covers the topic of lofting a great detail.

At least a scetch for a Model would’nt be to much
I had hoped to geht some sample plans

Pensavo meglio
Abbastanza deludente , niente di più di quello che si può trovare in un qualsiasi tutorial su YouTube.

A good guide
Since the 50's have carved a few half models. It was interesting to see the differences in methods. A lot of the models I carved were free form, that is there were no model or plans. The shape came from my mind. Otherwise the methods and techniques follow the way I do models.
