Great price on a great tasting, non-salted, non-roasted, plain almond. I've bought 4 times now over the past few months, and the quality is consistent.

These are the best almonds! Fresh and great tasting! The are sooo good, I find myself eating waaayyy more than one serving at a time! You gotta try them!

taste is good. good price. I bought this for making almond milk and coffee creamer. Pretty good so far. I will be buying jumbos in the future with the hope that I get a better ratio of almond to skin. Good delivery.

These are the best almonds for the price that you can find. Not only are they treated (as all California almonds are as required by law) but they are treated with steam rather than chemicals like so many other brands. I toast them in the microwave about a pound at a time (for about 8 minutes total after stirring every two minutes) and the family loves them. These Delish almonds are now the "go to" snack for all of us and as almonds are recognized to be among the better nuts for snacking there is no downside. I just ordered ANOTHER five lbs of them. Very great taste and my 3-year-old Grandson even loved them! Almonds are very healthy when raw and so I like to have them in the house. (5 star) Update: Ordered my second bag and they are small, shriveled and do not taste like the last bag. I go through nut a lot in the house. I don't know what happened. Maybe the harvest was not so good or I got the older nuts. I am ordering from another bulk seller for my next batch to see if there is a difference. (3 star)

They are fresh and have good flavor but are almost as crunchy as roasted. I revised my initial review because the third time I ordered these almonds many of the nuts were rancid. I gave 2 stars instead of one since the first 2 batches were okay, meaning not rancid. Nothing like really fresh raw almonds but for the price that makes sense. With the third order they weren't all rancid which led me to believe the company mixed in some older almonds with fresher ones. This problem isn't just about flavor, it's that rancid nuts (and oils) are harmful to your health. (If you're interested, the science is that nuts contain unsaturated fats that oxidize when exposed to heat, light and air, breaking the double bonds in the fat molecules. The short-chain fatty acids left behind are what make nuts rancid. The oils then develop potentially toxic compounds that promote inflammation and are carcinogenic.) Rancid nuts have a somewhat bitter, rank aftertaste. They also develop an odor which is not there with fresh nuts. This holds true, of course, for cooking oils so it's a great idea to sniff first if your bottle of oil has been around for awhile. Vegetable oil, for example, should have almost no scent if it's fresh.

We used these almonds as part of our Holiday spiced nut mix that we give to family and friends for gifts. Of course we tasted some almonds as we were making our gifts. All were uniform in quality, appearance, and taste. I'd get almonds from this purveyor again.

We were very pleased with the quality of these almonds. We especially like that they were pasteurized using steam instead of a chemical. We make our own almond milk at home and will be purchasing these almonds again.

I liked these nuts because they don’t use chemicals to sterilise them , they steam them , and a few a day very healthy, taste great ,great size bag great price.
