Nice Yukihira Pan
I enjoy using this simple yukihira pan. I was looking for a pot with a roughly 1 liter capacity that would be perfectly sized for boiling some eggs, making miso soup, or cooking individual servings of noodles. The magnetic stainless steel construction is light but sturdy and works well on my induction cooktop. The wooden handle feels nice and I have not had any issues with it (the included instructions describe how to adjust it if it feels loose). I also appreciate that it is made in Japan. My favorite feature is the dimpled pattern on the sides which gives it a unique aesthetic. The only downside I would say is that I wish it came with a lid, but I was able to buy one separately. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking to add a small, traditional Japanese style pot to your kitchen collection.

After a Year I Still Love It
I love this little pan. I would buy more if I had a place to put them. It's a perfect size for small jobs. It's lightweight, making it easy to use and heat up quickly. Sure, if you have a gas stove and your flame comes out further than the bottom the wooden handle WILL charr, wood has yet to get on with fire. We have used this on both types of electric stoves, the old-fashioned coil and flat top. It works great, looks lovely, and has held up well. I do not put it in the dishwasher, though. I'm fairly certain that would ruin the finish on the handle. The metal seems like it is of a good quality as it does clean up easily and well.

I wish I could give this 3.5 stars because I love it, but the handle has an issue!
The 1.2qt is my most used cookware! With different dietary needs, I often cook my meals separate from my family. The 1.2qt is the right size if I need to cook small individual portions for just myself. The yukihira heats up quickly and has excellent conduction for heating sauces or quickly boiling water. I use it every single day for my own food. That said, I use a a gas range and the handle did not stand up to the test of time. I’ve used it for about a year now and the handle has charred itself off. The pot heats very quickly, including the area where the handle is inserted, and if you are not careful, it will superheat the wood and begin to char from the inside. You can prevent this by wetting the handle before using or using on a very low temps. It’s worth noting you can buy replacement handles - it’s also worth noting the handle only has one single small screw holding it in place - sturdy it is not.

Great Yukihira saucepan for everyday use
I have had this pan for years and have used it almost daily since I bought it. It is incredibly versatile and perfect for making soup, ramen, or a variety of other dishes. So functional and reliable. It is easy to clean. However, it is not non-stick so you need to be mindful when using it for stir-fry. I am loving it.

Love this pan!
I’ve always wanted this Japanese sauce pan and I finally did it and bought three sizes! I own really good quality sauce pans but they are becoming too heavy for my arthritic hands and wrists. This pan is so lightweight and doesn’t hurt my hands and wrists when handling it. It heats up really fast and the food tastes great. It’s very high quality. Just wish they came with lids but I can always buy it separately. For now, some of the lids I already have may fit. Can’t wait to receive the other two sizes!

Wobbly handle
Wobbly handle at times. Not much confidence over time.

Great for soups and sauces!
I love this pot! It's perfect for cans of soup and making sauces. I got it to replace an older pan and it performs like a charm. The crevices aren't hard to clean, and I love that I can scrape away with metal utensils and no fear of scraping chemicals from the pot into my food.Have also put it in the dishwasher a few times and no issues here!
