Well made and designed system
The head unit is constructed well, big heat sink design, push button front panel controls are small but adequate, I used a steering wheel control adapter. The display screen is vibrant and has brightness settings. The system settings screen covers all the basics, including equalizer. To date, I only had one instance where the radio exited CarPlay and went to the radio screen. Wireless and Bluetooth work well. My installation was to replace the stock 2din radio in a 2009 Honda Ridgeline. I purchased, the Metra mounting kit that has the ability to secure the radio with the 5th screw, and the color (grey) was so exact it looks OEM. The OEM screws were barely long enough to secure the kit to the dash, since the Metra kit doubles up on the little brackets. I also ordered, through Crutchfield, a steering wheel and wiring harness adapter kit. The radio connections were color coded which matched the crux adapter (excluding blue and brown for power antenna and diagnostics respectively). I also installed a backup camera which works well with the head unit, expect a 1-2 second delay for the trigger to display the rear view. I will update this post if I encounter any problems.

Good head unit at a great price.
This unit was installed on a 2003 Chevy Tahoe using a PAC rp5-gm11 installation kit as well as a license plate mounted backup camera. The head unit and kit for May application let me use just the two kits for a plug play connection. All connections were soldiered and heat shrink.Pros between the two kits: Bose system came alive. Able to keep steering wheel controls. Able to keep rear passenger controls Don’t need it but Onstar still works. Able to easily install reverse camera Mic has enough wire to install in the head liner by roof controls and run down the A pillar. Apple car play works great along with Commands. Great screen color and contrast Plenty of additional AV connections. The dial a radio station like a phone number is nice for quick programmingCons: GPS only works when connect to a phone. Has gps unit but it only corrects the orientation of the phone to match the car. GPS seems to lag behind the position of the car as compared to a garmin unit. Would like to select what icons or order of icons show up on Home/ Sources screen like other brands. Would like to be able to change the background or led button colors like other brands. It’s not a deal breaker just other brands at this price point do this and it’s not a listed feature.

Don’t waist your money on this headache!
Here's a rewritten version of your review:I didn't plan on leaving a review, but dam this is annoying! I purchased this product in March 2024 but only got around to installing it in late April. By the end of May, issues started popping up. Several times a day, the screen goes black while music continues to play, rendering the system unresponsive until I restart the car. Another recurring problem is the glitchy RGB screen upon powering on, which eventually resolves itself after a few seconds. The wireless CarPlay function is unreliable too; it often shows music playing without any sound, requiring a car restart to fix. On top of all this, even at the lowest brightness setting, the screen is blindingly bright at night, forcing me to turn it off altogether. To make matters worse, when I contacted the seller about these issues, they insisted I remove the head unit and ship it back at my own expense for testing, leaving a hole in my dashboard for potentially three weeks. This whole experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I'm completely fed up with this head unit. Proceed with caution if you're considering buying it. 😂

Doesn't require you to Agree to terms every time you drive
Some aftermarket CarPlay receivers require you to press a button to agree to terms EVERY. SINGLE. TIME you drive your car and want to use it. This receiver simply turns on and allows you to use it which is apparently a really great feature. Overall it is a great little receiver for Apply CarPlay

Great purchase, well worth it.
Used this for a 2008 RAV4 that didn't have a GPS for my kids car. My mechanic put it in for us. Connects to a backup camera and connects to Android Auto & Car Play wirelessly.Just make sure your phone's Bluetooth is connected before you take off. I believe this as a phone issue, not a stereo issue. Stereo is good enough for my kids.Previously spent $1,000 on another GPS that died and couldn't afford anything like that again. I'm very content with this purchase.

Great sound and volume but a bit slow on the uptake
Installed this unit about 6 weeks ago and it has been performing well. A couple things I've noticed: 1. It's slow to boot up. It can be very finicky about picking up Android auto via wireless or USB. I have to force the issue more often than not by selecting my android phone from the phone selection screen. I also have a new Ford with AA and it can also be finicky about picking up the phone so it must be an Android thing. Overall it's a solid unit for the price range and has features of much higher priced units.

Amazing touch screen head unit!
This touch screen head unit is awesome. It connects seamlessly. Great picture quality I added a back up camera and it works great. Just hooked up directly to the reverse (+) and it comes right on.I put this unit in my 07 Chevy Silverado lt new body styleList of things I bought to make this work for my truckRP5-GM31 interface for none Bose system with onstar. When you hook this up make sure your speaker connections aret on the non amplified input or your sound won’t work.Metra 95-3305 double din installation kitHD ERT01 Back up camera.Great unit and the online video reviews don’t do it Justice.
