Is this safe to use around exterior plants, veggies and shrubs?

I have not used it around plants etc . But I can tell you that I used it on my outside door to remove mildew ..... I live in Miami with all the humidity /‘and it did absolutely nothing ... didn’t really even take off the regular dirt and grime ... I would not buy it again !!!

It will clean anything depending on what it is that needs to be cleaned off. I've used it to remove dried paint from a cement floor and it works if the paint is a few days old but not months old.

Does this product have the same active ingredients as krud kutter original cleaner and degreaser? is it functionally equivalent?

Yes, it is functionally equivalent. I use this product on greasy stained laundry, to clean bath tubs, lawn furniture, and a host of other cleaning projects around the house.

Has anyone used this to remove sticky adhesive residue on a vehicle? I don’t want to strip the paint. Any suggestions?

Haven't used it for that purpose and don't want to go try it on my car just to see. However, I do use a glue remover product for those purposes. Sorry I'm not more help.
