Kurt Adler Doctor Who Weeping Angel Treetop, 8.5-Inch DW9151, Silver

Hubby is a doctor who fan and seriously dislikes the weeping angels. Some years ago, I being tech-challenged, got advice from a more tech savvy friend on how to set a pic as wallpaper on his computer. Naturally I set the best weeping angel pic I could find and waited patiently for results. He had the bad habit of leaving his pc on all the time with tabs open so it took a couple of weeks for him to close those tabs and see his nightmare on the screen. His yell was a satisfying reward for my wait.He admitted later that he was impressed, as I'm not known for pranking and this was a pretty good one. So recently after retelling this story to a friend, I got the idea of finding a model of a weeping angel to leave half hidden somewhere in the living room and wait for him to notice it. This didn't actually work out since he was the one to open the amazon package and saw it prematurely, but it now has pride of place on his desk, so I'm content.This weeping angel is quite sturdy, the base is a heavy duty plastic and from the waist up it seems to be a heavy and fairly inflexible rubber. Even with being made out of different materials, the look is uniform and you can't tell visually that it is anything but one solid piece. It looks as if you could move the arms but you can't. I think this could stand up to a good amount of abuse, far more than the average ornament. If you like weeping angels or know someone who hates them, I highly recommend this item.

I haven’t blinked yet, she’s just too perfect perched on top my DW tree to not stare at it!Well she’s “almost” perfect, if she was slightly larger she would be a bit more fearful and imposing atop my 6’ pencil tree. She blends in with the grey wall behind her, which is perfect camouflage for an attack, I need to figure out a way to give her a lighted background, perhaps clip a large lighted snowflake or something to make her stand out so I can keep an eye on her better.She’s perfect for smaller trees, and is good and solid, mine was packaged well and shipped fast with Prime. Hopefully she’s pleased with my review and doesn’t decide to zap me back to the 1940s.

Oh my god I love it. It looks even better than the picture and if you look at it from different angles, one of the eyes is partially uncovered so it almost seems like it went from being covered to uncovered. Freaked me out the first time cause I thought BOTH eyes were fully covered then I...you know...I BLINKED.Real review tho! Its hard plastic. Thick and sturdy. Better than I thought itd be. It has a fully hollow bottom with a loop to help attach to the tree if needed (I didn't). The paint looks better than it does in pics. I'm happy with it.

Perfect image. Made of resin, so not as heavy as it looks. Plus, it has a weird loop hanging down inside the skirt - not sure what that's for. Still, I was able to place it on top of my tree. Doctor Who fans noticed it right away and loved it!

I love this thing! It's just...Well, occasionally I glance up at the tree and it will be there, but when I look back it's gone. At first I thought it was my imagination but lately some of the neighbor's pets have been disappearing and when I look at my tree I could swear this thing is smirking a little.I figured out the solution, though. I bought an "Elf on the Shelf" and placed it directly across the room staring up at it. Since then there have been no more mishaps.Overall this topper is pretty detailed and reasonably durable, a great way to "geek out" over the holidays! Just make sure you have another ornament that can keep an eye on it at all times. Especially if you have a cat.

I’m a big Doctor Who fan so I had to have this when I saw it. I really love it and am overall happy with my purchase! I will be using it on my bookshelves long after Christmas I’m sure. I was expecting it to be a tad larger for the price. Our tree is 7.5ft so I wish I had checked the measurements. I still love the way it looks and it wasn’t difficult to attach to the tree due to its lightweight. There is also a loop inside that keeps it in place. A tree topper isn’t meant to weigh a lot or it wouldn’t sit well on top. It’s a great piece with a lot of detail.

The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this Weeping Angel tree topper. It sells out so fast that it took 2 years of trying to get it. Blink is my favorite Doctor Who episode. An absolute must for whovians.

The Angel is beautiful and exactly what was wanted….. however it was packaged in a beautiful box resembling the “phone booth”, a true collectors dream, yet due to the way it was packaged to send, the box was ruined! This was a Christmas gift for a Dr Who fanatic, so I was completely embarrassed giving it.

Accurate and detailed, we had lots of fun with this tree topper. The only complaints are it's plastic instead of metal, between the upper and lower body is a gap and the package was wrecked. Would recommend anyway.

I love this... but I have now been looking at it without blinking for days. My eyes are sore. I really didn't think this through. I need to sleep soon but who knows what year I'll wake up in or whether it will still be Christmas?
