I love the many footnotes and explanations of Scripture. The NKJV is very easy to read and understand. This Bible well explained the role of the husband as head of the household as well as why God decreed that Christian women submit to their husband's authority. That said, the husband is not to abuse that authority or his wife; they are to love their wives as they love themselves and as Christ loves His church. The many sidebar anecdotes are invaluable to understanding the real meanings behind all Scripture. I am left feeling that God is the first "feminist"! His laws are in place so that women are not viewed as servants or prostitutes or as second-class humans. To the contrary, He makes it clear that we are valued and loved by Him and should be protected and aware of our worth.

This Bible is amazing! I love the little study pages on faith and other topics and being a Christian, this is a great guide.I would absolutely recommend it to any young or mature Christian woman out there. ☺

Very good but i rather the word of God in red highlights...

This is probably going to be my favorite Bible. I have a collection of Bibles in NIV, NKJV and KJV. This Woman's Study Bible: Second Edition by Thomas Nelson is a fantastic Bible. This is the ''*STUDY*'' Bible for Women. I chose this one because after much research this is the one that has the largest font size in the NKJV. It has the 9-10 point font. I wish the print was larger, (maybe 11-12) would be better, but I guess I will just have to use reading glasses to save on eye strain. The one I received had the thumb indexes, which is a plus. I do NOT like the fact that Jesus's words are NOT in red print, but that is my one and only dislike. I highly recommend.
