Transformative creative experience!
I had a hard time deciding between this and Maschine Studio. I'm not a "beat maker" or loop artist - my primary instrument is guitar, with traditional keyboard a close second.Cons: Having spent time with Maschine, it's clear that Ableton still has a way to go before catching up with Native Instrument's total integration. It is possible to create a song from start to finish using only the Push 2, but the process is just more awkward and less intuitive. Prepare to spend a lot of time turning knobs on the Push 2 to navigate layer upon layer of cascading menus. Ugh.Pros: Almost everything else. 64 pads allow you to have direct access to your drum/sample pads AND the sequencer interface simultaneously. When laying down drum beats or loops, the Push 2 let's my mind stay on the creative process... I often just get lost in the flow and am amazed at what I'm able to create when my creative process isn't interrupted constantly by a computer monitor and a mouse. The MOST AMAZING and revolutionary feature of the Push, however, is that it is a competent and powerful replacement for a traditional MIDI keyboard. Notes are laid out in a way that is immediately intuitive to a guitarist, and should still feel natural to a pianist. Chords and intervals are reproduced across the entire pad by learning finger patterns. Gone are the mental gymnastics and rote learning required to translate chords and modes across musical keys on the physical keyboard - with Push, you simply dial in the key, mode, and octave, and let muscle memory do the rest.Being a long time Native Instruments and Propellerhead user, I am much less happy with Ableton Live. Not my cup of tea. Even so, I feel that this was well worth the purchase price.

Amazing controller! Build Quality is A+
Amazing controller for Ableton Live. It totally changed my workflow. You can control anything you want in Ableton and even more. I believe it's not just a controller, it's more of a tool. You'll stop staring at your monitor from the time you launch the controller for the very first time and that large multicolor display is INCREDIBLE. I also want to mention solid built quality. All of the knobs and pads are also solid and nice to touch. The full control of the updated simpler is truly impressive and fun to use on the new display. The colors are amazing too and you can tell by looking at different promo pictures. It's not any different. Overall, it's a must have for anyone who uses Ableton Live and wants to change workflow. The price is high but totally worth it in my opinion. You probably already know about its features. If not, check out free tutorials on YouTube from Ableton's channel. Enjoy it!

Best experience I’ve had on Amazon
After reading reviews about people receiving refurbished push’s, I was slightly wary. I decided to trust the seller and WOW I was blown away by the speed it was shipped.Granted I live a few hours away, it was shipped and delivered to my house in less than 24 hours!Upon opening, I knew immediately this was a brand new controller. The packaging was exquisite, all the stickers and protective material was perfectly assembled, and the Push is flawless.I’m extremely happy with this purchase, I’m not downplaying others experiences but if you are contemplating it just buy it, you’re in safe hands with this company!

Interface intuitive enough to do lots of things without consulting the manual.
Interface intuitive enough to do lots of things without consulting the manual. More advanced functions would need to read the user's manual or watch official youtube videos bit by bit. Speeds up editing in Ableton quite a lot, more importantly a piece of hardware I feel can tweak translates my ideas better than having to open up windows and finding knobs and using mouse to drag. The initial setup took quite a while as need to enable push on the Ableton preferences, and there was a background firmware update going on. Aside from the initial setup Ableton is able to recognize push 2 the instant I turn in on.

I have bought Push 2 less than a month ago and I am VERY DISAPPOINTED. As you've known(and now I do too) there ...
This is an actual letter I've sent to Ableton. Judge for yourselves:I have bought Push 2 less than a month ago and I am VERY DISAPPOINTED. As you've known(and now I do too) there is an issue with the USB chord. Push 2 has very hard time connecting to Live. It takes me 15-30 minutes togling/playing/plugging/unplugging the USB chord in order to communicate with the software. The most disappointing $800 ever spent. At this price Push 2 shouldn't have an issue with the most BASIC of the functions - Connecting. I can see if the machine had a problem with some obscure/rarely used function, but connecting to a computer so I can begin to work? You've got to be kidding me. And I've read many threads on forums by users, that have the same exact problem(and many variations of it[). SO, I will be returning this useless piece of junk. Too bad, it has a great potential, and the few times that I did get it to work, I've enjoyed it alot. Couldn't you find a sollution to this simple problem, advertise it, and have a pleased buyer audience? How does such a big company tries to "hush-hush" such an issue. I am totaly turned off by your company, and I don't believe that I'll use any of your products again. Also, I am going to leave this letter as a product review on Amazon.com I guess I'll go and buy me Machine 2.0(even though it's an inferior product compared to a WORKING Push 2).A very disappointed customer
