how is the clean up. can u take the container that hold the oit out to strain and store left over oit

Personally, I don't understand all the complaints about cleaning this unit. I have a sensitive nose when it comes to rancid oil so I like to refrigerate my oil in between uses and I find this fryer very easy to empty and clean. The top comes off easily up to the halfway open position. The carbon filter cover comes right off the lid and the carbon filter just lifts out. I rinse those top three pieces in hot water and then soak them in hot soapy water for about 10 minutes while the bottom part of the unit is cooling. I wait until the appliance itself is no longer hot to the touch and then pour the oil into an oil keeper with a filter screen (Aulett Home B077D7RDJV) so the oil stays clean. The oil stays in the pour groove on the corner of the deep fryer while pouring into my oil keeper; I have had no problems with drips whatsoever. I then wash my oil keeper screen and store it separately from the oil keeper. If I don't think I'll be using the oil again soon I may then empty the completely cooled oil from the oil keeper into a sealable container like Tupperware or Lock-n-Lock just to make sure I have no spills in the fridge. But the unit is so easy to clean since it is non-stick. I put a little detergent inside the cooker with some hot water and wipe the inside with my soapy dishcloth and then rinse the unit out being careful not to get water on the plug or dial. The unit isn't immersible but, honestly, I'm not so uncoordinated that I can't rinse it without getting the entire outside of the unit wet. (The unit is so small and lightweight so it is easy to handle.) I then wipe the outside with my soapy cloth if any oil has dripped but, like I said, I haven't found drips to be a problem. Then I dry the whole thing to keep it looking new. The entire process takes less than 5 to 10 minutes and is no harder to clean then if I was using a frying pan or dutch oven on the stovetop. To me it is worth it to have deep fried food. I am a scaredy cat when it comes to frying on the stove. This unit takes the fear out of frying for me. And let's face it, there is nothing like french fries fried in a deep fat fryer. I'm looking forward to frying breaded tilapia for fish tacos and tempura sweet potatoes. I'll write a full review after I have fried more than just french fries.

How do you remove the oil for cleaning? Is there a removable container that holds the oil?

I wait until unit is cool about 2 hours ,remove the lid which slides right off,and pour into a small coffee can using a strainer until filled. Or I use a small, ceramic cheese container {about 18 ozs.} and leave on my counter. I found the decorative container at a flea market for 50 cents and it works great! Typically, I use my deep fryer about once a week and it is very easy to clean.

My doesn’t heat since the first time. the lights is always green and the oil is cold. how can i do it? or it’s broken?

Underneath the timer on the left side is a reset button. If it's sticking out push it in with a nail, skewer, etc. It says reset on the heating element plastic.
