I thought I'd hate myself for spending this much on a cable again
Ignoring sound quality for a moment, there's a lot to like about this cable. It looks gorgeous, like a necklace and I did have someone mistake it for that. The quality of material, and tactile feel of the connectors, etc, brings me a little joy to use it every time. That's all I originally bought it for.But about the sound: I'd assumed the sound quality perspective stuff was bunk; that there's no real difference between this and a $40 balanced headphone cable. Many years ago, I paid $700 for a single pair of balanced XLR connectors and the flak I got for that from my "realist" audiophile friends had definitely made me think twice before "trusting my ears". But when I switch between this cable and the substitute one I have which is electrically identical, I can hear an obvious difference. Like, I'm fairly certain it isn't just me tricking myself; the quality with this cable is distinctly better with the same source and a "reference" (spendy) set of headphones. I'd love to know why, but buying it is cheaper than finding out!Without getting into cliché'd descriptions of sound and tonality, to me, listening to music, this cable feels less tiring to my ears, which is to say, more delightful. And when listening to other sources, sounds come through with more presence and depth. It changed my mind.

From a man of doubt
I began with Focal stock cables. They felt stiff and janky. That led me to buy a set of after-market cables. Decent pair. OFC and much more flexible. But they sounded the same as the stock cables and costed around 80 USD. No one wants to pay more for the same performance.Regarding cables, there is lots of conflicting information online. Notably, some professionals tested measurements and found no difference between cheap and expensive cables. Others seemed to swear cables do make a noticeable difference. I leaned toward the former camp, although I never tested anything myself. But I also kept an open mind. I bought these GUCraftsman cables to resolve the matter for myself. Was it all snake oil? Do they make a difference? They do. The resolution on the highs is magnificent. Hi-hats and chimes absolutely pop. I began noticing little details I missed before, such as the hi-hat in Aja by Steely Dan from 1:04 to 1:09. The lows are full and expansive. Dialogue (Pt. I) by Chicago with its bass solos, baritone + tenor vocals, complex percussion, and horn arrangements was one of the songs where I could tell the difference most easily, subjectively.I was a skeptical man. But give these a shot, especially if you have a sufficiently resolving pair of headphones. See for yourself. Amazon does have a nice return policy if these cables don't deliver.

quality but not for my HifiMan Sundara
Tested with my HifiMan Sundara and my Drop HiFiMAN HE4XX, both use same 3.5 mm inputs in each can. Also as part of the test I compared the sound with this cable against my other not expensive 4.4 to 2x3.5 balanced cable costing around 1/4 of this one.Comparing audio quality, my ears cannot differentiate audio quality between the cheaper one and this one, I can clearly hear the separation of the instruments with both cables, the output was coming from a usbc dac from Earfun, the ua100. Maybe with a more expensive dac the quality difference would be obvious but for me its very close.Cable quality is another matter, here the difference is easily visible, this one is thicker and with more braids than the cheaper, this cable transpire quality, even from a distance. The only issue I've had so far is with the Sundara, I need to keep the plugs an step out to be able to get audio, curiously is does not happens with the HE4XX. So I grabbed my multimeter and measure the continuity of the poles between the 4.4 balanced plug and both sides 3.5 stereo plugs, the difference between the connections in the cheaper cable and this one gave me the light. Looks like this cable does not connect the inner part of the 3.5 stereo plug, the one when for stereo goes the common, instead it use only the middle ring (right channel in stereo) for the return and the point for the signal in both channels, the cheaper cable use both, the inner and the middle ring for return. Since the cheaper cable does works fine with both headphones, is my conclusion the Sundara only expect the return in the inner part of the 3.5 plug. I ordered a pair of mono to stereo 3.5 adapters to see if my supposition is correct.Even with the Sundara issue, I have to agree with the reviews I found around, this is a terrific cable and with an exceptional build quality, capable of compete with cables even more expensive. If you are hunting for teh best quality but in a "budget", this will not let you down.

Also fits 3rd generation of beyerdynamic T1
Fits the new generation of the T1 just fine.Very high quality cable; soft and supple with no discernible microphonics.I chose the 4.4mm TRRRS connector to get all the power that's available out of my ifi DACs.No perceptible loss or gain in sound quality for me, however. I'm okay with that. :-)

Instant improvement of sound quality
Just got this one to replace the original cable of Beyerdynamic T5 3rd gen (which broke within 4 months). Compared with the original cable, the improvement in sound quality is significant - wider soundstage, much better clarity, more punchy and tighter bass. Absolutely loving it. Way to go, Master Gu!

Superb quality! Makes a difference!
I'm not sure I notice a difference in sound quality using this cable against the standard one, supplied with my headphones but the build quality of this is absolutely fantastic!
