**Q: What is the "active" ingredient in these tablets?  There is no indication on the bottle/package.**
A: It does NOT say on the label. I would contact the manufacturer if you need that info.

**Q: Can i use this in the drain line pvc or must it go into the pan only. i have clogging in my drain pipe and no problems in the drain overflow pan?**

try Brody's A/C line cleaner - worked for me

**Q: Has anyone had any luck placing this in a condensate pump reservoir?**
A: I have been using it with no problems I put 2 tabs in every 2 months when I change AC filter

**Q: How often do you need to put them in the tray. 1.5 ton unit**
A: The instructions state 2 tablets per 5 tons of AC monthly but it's not exact by any means. I have a 2.5 in Southwest Florida and it's OLD but still working great. I went with 2 tablets per month because that's what I found to work best, meaning not only minimizing clog opportunities but freshening the air. It might really depend on your unit age and environment so while I'm keeping this old thing running (electric bill still reasonable), someone with a newer unit may not need 2 per month. In any case, even at this rate, it will last me 50 months and it's something I wish I had started doing years ago!!
