Perfect replacement!
I purchased this silver box to replace my mother-in-laws that was likely from the 40's. The wood is beautiful and the silverware stores nicely in it. Excellent product!

Update to initial review
After polishing it and putting my wife’s silverware in, the knife section starts to bend and wouldn’t hold the weight of the knives. It’s sad cause now I have to fix this and such an easy thing to correct and I’m not the only person who has had this issue. To the manufacturer, please correct, it’s a nice piece but kinda useless without the knife section, needs to be re-enforced and not with just glue.

Very Glad Amazon Ended Our Hunt For A Flatware Chest Replacement
This purchase replaced a 50+ year old flatware chest. The quality is good and it holds all our twelve 5 piece flatware place settings and larger serving pieces. Our only small disappointment is that the drawer is a bit smaller in height than our original chest and some of our serving ladles are tight fitting. Here's hoping this chest will last as long as our old one.
