Shawna Fletcher
I Ordered one of these Chew Stixx here on Amazon and I must say that I Absolutely love it ! It's durable so when I do use it to chew on its strong enough to last. I already Do have TMJ I Clench MY teeth together whenever I'm Nervous about something, scared or Anxious,. I even clench MY teeth together at night when I'm sleeping at night. I don't even know that I'm doing it. Until the next day when MY jaws hurt from the night before I wear a mouth guard at night to help me with TMJ. Sometimes I GET a Sudden random Need to Chew on something so This Blue "Chew Stixx" has helped me out with that. As well as stimulating different types of textures. I use it as a Hand Fidget too. I did a YouTube video review of it online and I love it so much it helps me out. I really enjoy using the Chew Stixx I would highly recommend these for people with Special needs or who have who have Oral Motor issues with Chewing tough types of food. This can help with jaw strengthening and learning to issues and to help with Sensory issues for both kids and Yes, Even Adults like myself. - "THE CHEW Stixx" Has become a New Favorite of mine. I'm very happy and pleased with this product" I Love it !!! This is my first item that I've bought for myself to chew on. I've been Really busy Chewing on it the last few days and using it as a Hand Fidget. I can't break through it by biting on it to make deep teeth marks in it. Actually it feels so good when I Chew on it. It's like relieving to MY teething Issues that I've Had for many years ( a Sudden Craving need to Chew on something ) l'd be More than Happy to Share a photo of what it looks like with Everyone who she's MY Review on here. MY YouTube channel Name is "Shawna Fletcher" I'm a 24 year old Lakota, Sioux Native American Look at My Photo That's what MY YouTube channel Looks like "Thank You so much for this Chew Stixx. I love it, I Love It, I Love it. Thank you Sensory University" An Amazing products YOU have

Helpful and functional
Kiddo took right to it. She's an aggressive chewer. It seems pretty sturdy. She likes the different textures on each side. We go through these types of things fast. I've purchased every chewy on the market. Either she doesnt like it, it's too dense with no give, or too flimsy because she chews like a pitbull but likes a give. I'm also autistic so get it. This one is her second favorite and that's a high praise. It may be my most favorite since I think it may last longer than others Her most favorite 8s the spaghetti chewy from fun and function but that doesnt cut it when she's melting down and biting herself. This one gives her the intense chew. The other is good for getting further back in her mouth and more of a relaxing chew. I do suggest this for self violent persons with autism or other disorders. As well as just those who like texture and are big chewers. 39 yrs experience with autism and this is the best review I've left on a chewy. My only complaint is mild but all us caregivers are tired of overpriced items for our kiddos. Lower the price a tad and I'd buy more often. Or atleast have promotions here and there.

Phenomenal durability, excellent comfort
Here we are, two years later, and this thing does not look even a day old. I cannot get over how durable it is. I have genuinely tried to bite through it with concerted efforts, and it has certainly survived more than its fair share of screaming meltdowns and fits of rage wholly unscathed. You would think that it would be extremely hard and even painful to chew, given how long it has lasted, but nope! It's really one of the best stim toys I have ever bought in my life, and I recommend it to anyone who benefits from chewing as a stim for thinking, or as a way of dealing with anger. The different textures also make it worthwhile to suck on, if that's more your speed. Also, a year into having it, I tested whether it could be put in the top rack of my dishwasher, and I am safe to say it came out sparkling clean and wholly undamaged. (BTW, since some people have asked about age ranges, I am an autistic adult, and trust me, if it can stand up to my level of abuse, it can stand up to almost anyone's, child or adult alike).

Excellent Chewy for Strong Jaws
2014 UPDATE: My now 7 year-old continues to use and love his ChewStixx every single day, and while I have purchased newer offerings (like the Chewy Stixx Oral Tubes XL Extreme---For children with aggressive biting habits. and Chewy Stixx Oral Tubes Tough Bar---For children with aggressive biting habits. ), this is his favorite. He has profound developmental disabilities so is a baby in a big boy's body, and he has global aphasia (so no speech / sign / written / gestures, etc., either coming from him or understood by him), so this is informed conjecture on my part, but we think the reason he prefers the ChewStixx to anything else (esp the above two Tubes I mentioned above) is 1) it gives GREAT sensory feedback as he's chewing it (and he's a molar chewer). It has some "give" to it, so when he shoves the Stixx back in there it offers resistance but he is able to get a good compression as well: we found both of the Tubes (Extreme and Tough Bar) are too rigid, not flexible enough (in our opinion). And 2), because he is an appropriately-sized 7 year-old, the ChewStixx is a more comfortable fit for his small jaw -- the Extreme and Tough Bar are bigger. I posted some pictures to show how we've made the ChewStixx wearable. ORIGINAL REVIEW: My 4 year-old son (who has DD / SPD, etc.) is a chewer non pareil. We have tried all (and I do mean ALL) the chewies out there, and this Chew Stixx has proven the most durable. Even still, they only last about two weeks (that kid must be part-shark!), but that's such an improvement over all the other chewies we've tried. He likes the length of the stixx because he can really shove it back there and use his molars (which soothes his system). The price here is *by far* the best out there, even when you add in S&h. I have researched like mad! We attach this stixx to a ChewEase (we remove the aquarium tubing part and cut down the coil b/c the Stixx is heavy so will pull it way down), so it's always attached to his clothing so he always has chewing access.

This is the one to get when you don't know which one to get
My 3yo still puts everything in his mouth. Everything in his mouth gets chewed. Everything he chews breaks apart and presents a chocking/poisoning hazard. Beyond that, he would NOT give up pacifiers. Someone suggested switching every other object for intentional "chewies" when he felt the need to mouth. Research suggested children prefer different textures, so I bought 5 different pieces. I gave this one to him first, to see which texture he seemed to favor, then kept only similar pieces. We probably could stick with just this one, but I have them stashed around the house for convenience. Now, I find fewer unacceptable objects chewed, and he's given up his pacifier (Thank Goodness). Oh, and, we've had our collection for almost a year, and none show signs of wear. They're not cheap, but they're quality. It's worth the investment.

Great for adults too!
I'll start this out by saying I'm a 34-ish year old adult that was diagnosed as "high functioning" autistic back in the early 80s. One aspect of that that I still have is the need to have something to either do with my hands or mouth; at work, desk toys take care of that and its hands only, because I dislike eating in front of people I don't know extremely well. At home, it manifests more as 'grazing' eating behavior. Pens/pencils, toothpicks, and gum didn't really work to curb that. These are awesome for that; I can gnaw and 'chew' on them and it has the same satisfying effect as constant nibbling of food. They feel as though they'd last a good long time, though for people who don't have much in the way of bite inhibition, I'd guess they'd be chewed up in a couple of months or so. I've bitten into it as hard as I can without it being painful both with back teeth and front teeth and, so far, it hasn't left marks or indents, though I'm sure if I chewed on the edges I'd be able to shred it after awhile. Given the smallish diameter of the 'arms', I'd guess that an adult putting frequent full bite strength (especially using the front teeth) on these would cause them to need replacement sooner rather than later, however, as that sort of biting isn't enjoyable to me so I don't do it often. As a bonus, mine make a nice little 'squeak' noise when my teeth rub against the arms that have texture to them, which just makes me want to continue chewing.

Very durable for our 5 year old
Our 5 year old son's Occupational Therapist recommended that we provide safe sources for oral stimulation and deep pressure. We noticed that he was biting on his blanket at night when settling into sleep. I was washing his blanket all the time because it would be wet every night from him chewing on it. His therapist sent him home with a Nuk Brush, and he loved it! He loved it so much that he devoured it that first night! We realized he needed this type of relief, but that we needed a product that would be far more durable. We bought the Chew Stixx because it was reviewed by parents with older children, and their reviews indicated that the product was durable for stronger jaws and more aggressive chewing. We purchased another product also, not knowing what his preference would be. The other item was the Knobby Texture Chewy Tube Green. He doesn't appear to have a strong preference for one over the other. Both have been used every night at bedtime, and sporadically throughout the day. We've had the "chewies" as we call them, for 2 weeks now and they both still look new. The Chew Stixx Oral Chew has 4 solid (not hollow) arms for chewing, with different texture on each arm. The arms being sealed on the ends is nice because there isn't anyplace for saliva to collect. The solid arms are much firmer than the collapsible, hollow arms of the Knobby Texture Chewy Tube Green. I think the collapsible, softer texture of the green tube might be a nice complement to the firmer Chew Stixx. I wonder if our son switches between the two when his jaw is fatigued but there remains a need to bite down. We are very happy with our purchases and recommend both products.

Great quality chewtoy
I don't have children, I'm not special-needs, and I don't grind my teeth. I just bought this to redirect my tendency to eat out of boredom. The rubber is very sturdy , but yielding enough to not hurt. I bite down on this toy pretty hard, and there is no sign of wear or tear. The item is easy to clean and very satisfying to bite into. Would recommend.

Great chew
My son is a hardcore chewer. High sensory needs. This gets him through his school day. It lasted 4 months before he finally broke it. This is the 3rd time I'm buying this product.
