Catrice | True Skin Hydrating Foundation (090 | Cool Espresso)

I am in my early 30’s and have some fine lines from being so animated with my facial expressions. It’s hard to find a foundation that doesn’t accentuate the lines but this is definitely one of the best I’ve found for that. The consistency blends so easily, is hydrating but sets, has great coverage, and wears very well throughout the day

I highly recommend this product. I am 60, have some areas of reddness on cheeks and nose. I have been using a color corrector but with this product I think I can stop. This product is extremely lightweight, moisturizing and provides very full coverage with a tiny dab of product truly a little goes a very long way, no need to apply layers of product. I have tried sooo many products of all price ranges, I am hooked, will be using this product for life. I do not have lines, wrinkles so I cannot clearly state that it does not cake on them. I do still have oily skin, I do not have any issues with shine through, looks matte and smooth all day long.

Let's start with my skin type so you'll have a sense if this review will be helpful for you. Even though I am 52, I have a moderately oily t-zone and normal-dry cheeks, mild-moderate redness due to rosacea and moderately textured skin. Wrinkles are quite fine and rather superficial.I use this foundation over a HA serum, moisturizer, and a red color corrector.Longevity: Solid! After10 hours or so, I do see some breakup on my nose and chin but it isn't horrible.Shine: Compared with other matte foundations, I find I have to powder far less than normal. My skin looks matte right after application and takes on a light glow after a few hours. My nose and forehead gleam a bit, but it's nothing compared to others.Oxidation: None!Skin Texture: I'd say I see light to moderate texture with this. It looks a bit heavier in my smile line area and between the eyebrows than a skin tint, but that's to be expected. No creasing, however.Coverage: I apply with a damp beauty sponge. I use about a pump and a half of this over green color corrector and am happy with the solid medium coverage. If I use a brush or my fingers, the coverage level is definitely higher.Overall, this is a foundation I keep coming back to, especially if I know my day will be filled with video calls or I need my makeup to last.

I usually do not write reviews, but I thought this was important to know before buying. I am a 62 year old female, the number one thing I look for in foundation is hydration. As a woman of mature skin, we need all the hydration we can get. Therefore, this product is very drying, and dries down fairly quickly, so you need to work very quickly with this product. The coverage I is good, not a problem there. We will see how it wears, but beware if you are looking for a hydrating foundation, this is not for you.

The color choice is spot on and it's a lovely formula. I think it's perfect for dry and/or againg skin. I have deep lines that always have settling. My fine lines, however, did not have settling! I was happily surprised with this detail. I love how it doesn't feel dry at all, even with a bit of powder. If you have mature skin do yourself a huge favor and try this foundation, you won't be sorry!

I like & use Catrice products. I have the concealer in this line in Cool Cashmere and it is a little light but it it looks nice on and applies very nicely. I wanted to try the foundation that goes with it but I knew the Cool Cashmere would be too light for my entire face and I do have pink in my skin so I thought the Cool Rose would be a good choice. I was SO EXCITED when I got it today and was going to do my makeup using it. I pumped out some & it was NOT the color in the picture. I thought, well maybe it will blend & look different on. IT DIDN'T. It looked like I smeared pumpkin filling all over my face. It was ORANGE. It looked like I put a cheap orange "bronzer" on all over. I took it all off & tried using less. No, it was STILL orange & TOO dark. I was SO dissappointed! It felt a thicker consistency than I thought it would be also.I am not sure if a more fair shade closer to the Cool Cashmere might work but then it might be too light. I was really sad it didn't work for me, but that happens sometimes. I still do really like Catrice products and enjoy the ones I do use.

I have reordered this multiple times. It’s thin but has great coverage and mixes well with other foundations. Wears super well. Don’t discontinue it!

I'm notorious for trying something once and then never again. Not because the product wasn't just fine but I usually can't resist trying something new the next time because....options. So, the fact that I have gotten this foundation 3 times is pretty crazy for me. Must mean I like it. It's not particularly hydrating if you ask me but that wasn't the main reason I tried it to begin with. It doesn't have a dewy finish but the coverage is good and it doesn't melt off halfway through the day like most foundations I've tried. I had to switch colors after my initial purchase to find a better match. The claim that it is cruelty free, vegan, paraben free, gluten free and alcohol free is pretty awesome. I sure hope it's true. I'll continue using it likely for a long time.
