Are you able to use this as a simple midi controller, or can it only be used with softubes software?

Can u possibly address a reverb instantiated in Logics mixer through the softubes mixer?

Does anyone have experience running this device into a usb hub versus directly into a computer. How badly does it affect performance if at all?
