Hack Yourself: Unlock your hidden potential and release it to the world

A simple and refreshing approach to self-help books
I read this book over a few days commuting into work and it really has made an impact on my day to day life. Traditional self-help books are often long and unrealistic in terms of being able to apply advice to every day life. Hack Yourself is refreshingly simple and to the point. Within the space of the last six months I have used the book as reference point for making changes in my every day life to help me achieve my goals. What is brilliant about the book is that it doesn't expect you to make wholesale changes straight away. You can take away what you feel is most appropriate to your life.I spend 3 hours every day commuting which leaves me very little time most evenings so time is precious. The concise and easy to digest way in which it is written make it a much more manageable read and it means I can pick up as and when I need to. I have tried and failed on many occasions to read longer self-help books, which often over analyse and don't get to point. Hack Yourself breaks down what you really need to know and is realistic in how you can make changes in real life.Over the last six months I have made more changes than I have done in the last three or four years, and already I feel like I am using my time and abilities far more wisely and efficiently. That is predominately down to this book and the tips it has given me.I have already passed on to friends and family and would recommend to anyone to give this a read.

Miles ahead other development books
This book is fantastic. I'd always looked at development books and wondered how they could possibly be so long, and presumed they were rambling and hard work. Hack Yourself is punchy and practical. It has interactive elements that mean you are able to make tangible changes in your mind and in your life immediately. I particularly liked the quotes from successful businesspeople, as they were really inspiring. The writing and design are also brilliant!

Practical and actionable
This book does away with theoretical waffle and focuses on practical and actionable guides to helping you achieve your goals. A really helpful and to the point guide for anyone wanting to realise their potential but just not quite sure where to start. This book will take you through how to do that step-by-step in a really approachable and digestible way.

A disappointing read.
This book is not what I expected. It contains basic information with no new messages or learnings from what is available in standard marketing textbooks or online.

100% Recommend It
A fantastic, easy to read book with practical advice to help you progress with your career goals. I found it particularly useful as i'm starting my own business and within the first few chapters I recognised a few changes that I could make right away and gain immediate results. Thumbs up from me.

Self-development book for the modern day...
Excellent self-development book for busy, hardworking individuals looking to make life improvements with instant results. This book is focussed with lots of useful tools. It is easy to follow with a format that is excellent for those looking for a book to dip in and out of when required.

Feels very basic.
Severely lacking in worthwhile content. I ordered this on Kindle and promptly returned it for a refund 5 minutes later. The Kindle sample gives the contents page and a short introduction, unfortunately the actual chapters expand very little on this. Whilst books (like GTD by Dave Allen) spend hundreds of pages stringing out a very simple idea, Hack Yourself does the opposite. Each page only contains a few paragraphs and barely touches on subjects or offers a succinct way of piecing things together. For instance, there is a section on "Blockers" i.e. people who block your true calling in life. The section explains what they are in a paragraph, but offers no insight into how to deal with those kind of people. The whole book feels like it should be part of a blurb or teaser on a website to promote an in-depth, year long, virtual learning program. Sorry, but I cannot recommend this book in its current form. I wish the author all the best for the future as this looks like the basis of something more worthwhile.
