What is difference of bn-200 and bn-220?

There is no BN-200 gps module. Do you mean BN-180 and BN-220 ?

Does the 180 model flash consistently while connected if its installed correctly?

Is there any tuning that needs to be done? i attached it to my astro x quad. the speed lags and it doesn't show altitude.

There is nothing to tune, but the flight controller needs to be set up to correctly display altitude and speed with whatever configurator you're using.
