Review: A nice lunchbox - The lunchbox holds up well. It's durable, and the lid makes a reliable seal. It is a little difficult to remove the lid. With the release valve open, I still have to press it against my body to pry it open, but that's the trade-off of having an excellent seal. The paint does flake off over time with everyday use. Putting in the dishwasher would probably ruin the paint faster, so I always hand-wash it. I don't mind the paint too much; fortunately, it's only painted on the outside, and unpainted on the inside. The divider is a nice touch; it keeps dry items separated. Liquids can still mix between compartments, but it's not a big deal for me. It's a good quality, stainless steel, airtight lunchbox.

A: I have microwaved mine many times, as the stamp on the bottoms suggests. As long as you don't put in the lid it is fine.

A: You have to pull out the small round button looking thing. Once that’s out then it opens like a normal container

I never write reviews but here goes. I feel like Bentgo needs me to make their stuff better. Yes, it's leak proof, and yes, it is microwaveable. Microwaveable in that it doesn't explode the microwave when you put the metal container in. But I just heated up a can of soup in the container for 9 minutes in the microwave and it's still luke warm. And, as others have said, the top is very difficult to remove, and end up spilling food on yourself or the counter, or at the very least, on your hands. I've had similar frustrations with other Bentgo products. Feels like they have good ideas, but they must not have any actual user testing.
