One Step Nail Mender .47 oz. - Repairs Split, Chipped and Damaged Nails Clear

After wearing acrylic nails for 26 years, I finally decided to stop 3 years ago. For 3 years I've had peeling and chipping nails. I've tried every product I could, and nothing helped. I tried Gorilla glue on one peeling area and it sealed the peeling, but it was a bit lumpy. So I searched for nail glue that could be painted on like polish. I ordered Barielle One Step Nail Mender, and have used it twice. It goes on like nail polish, is clear like a bottom coat, you can wear without polish, and lasts until you remove your polish. It removes as easily as polish does. It sealed my nails for an entire week until I changed my polish. No more peeling or chipping. I don't think this is for healing nails, but it certainly stops the peeling and chipping!

This didn’t work as well as I expected for some reason I thought it would actually mend a nail that broke but it just broke further. Very disappointed.

Do NOT waste your money on this. It does NOT work. I had a small crack in my nail and applied 2 coats as directed and let it dry overnight. I ended up having to use super glue . It did not fix even a small crack. Horrible product.

I have nails that get chipped. I use this when they chip by applying 2 coats and then nail color. It does not prevent my nails from further chipping but does create a thicker nail that I think helps from breaking. I have to use this item every other day for the chips. So far, I haven't found anything better so I will keep using it. Plus I do love the extra shine that it creates.

Probably was expecting this to save my nail, but it still broke off after applying muliple coats, it works better for small breaks.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t feel as though this delivers as advertised. A couple of my (73 y.o. M) nails have an increasing tendency to crack, split, and chip easily. I’ve talked to my dermatologist and tried a couple of her suggestions which yielded marginal results. Thought I’d try this product but over time, it hasn’t proven to be of any help. It chips/flakes off if you use your hands a fair amount - golfing, chores around the house, hand washing cars, etc. it doesn’t seem to soak into the nail surface at all. Performs no different than how I’d perceive a clear nail polish would.
