i really like it, got a good deal, just wish UPS hadn't busted up one of the pieces
- probably the heaviest thing i've ever received from an online order - apparently UPS didn't like how heavy it was either because at some point they must have dropped the package in some way that the impact went all the way through the huge amount of packing & cushioning material and nicked a whole chunk out of one of the larger surface wood pieces... which suffice to say i didn't actually discover until i'd done all the work of laying out all the pieces for assembly and gotten the huge amount of packing material out of there so i had some room in our small space to work. needless to say i was pretty upset about that...- assembly was stupid easy. nice to have some really clear and simply instructions for an item. not sure how much easier it could be anyway since the amount of screws was minimal - most of the installation required setting the cam locks and nuts. super super easy, and made putting the heavy solid pieces together unassisted especially easy and not in any way nerve-wracking, which was GREAT.- i'm not gonna lie, when it came time to put the lid and spring arm onto the hinge, i had a hard time believing the flimsy little hinge wouldn't just fall apart, or that the arm wouldn't work for crap. not so. it was rather awkward screwing the hinge into the lid, since you have to hold the wood piece level to the hinge while ALSO screwing down into it. would be best to have another person hold it for you while you screw or vice versa i reckon, but i did it myself, and even without the arm the hinge was surprisingly sturdy. after installing the arm, i was amazed for some reason that it worked so well. don't judge, there are many sorts of functional items for which my success at assembly remains a novel and pleasant surprise ok.- fortunately for me the big gouge UPS caused happened to be on the inside face of the panel, and you literally cannot detect it at all in any way unless you were to shove your hand into the dark cabinet and try to find it blindly with your fingers.- the sliding doors worked out fabulously, they're easy to install, and are a godsend when outward swinging doors will just not work due to the narrow space of entry and passage outside the console. my one gripe might be that because both doors have significantly protruding handles (though i love the gold finish of the hardware, as it actually unites the look of this piece with our other furniture) you cannot fully overlap one door over the other. it's whatever.- turns out the turntable shelf (under the hinge lid) is just the right size for roommate's audio technica LP60. i can understand other people's complaints about the positioning of the wire access holes and the tightness of the space not allowing for cables around the turntable. i can't speak to those difficulties presently as roommate somehow has this turntable yet no speakers. so obviously i haven't plugged anything in just yet.- easily fit all 50 or 60 records with room to spare.- love the adjustable shelves. lots of extra storage space for cables, speakers, CDs and the like.- personally i love having one half of the top of the console available for decoration and the other an active entry to the turntable. it's just so convenient and looks very classy.all in all i'm quite happy with this furniture piece. i want to say i feel like it's a bit overpriced but once i had the pieces in hand, i'll admit i was decently impressed by the quality of the materials. nonetheless it took me months (and a huge discount arising) for me to take the plunge, but there are very few options on the market for an affordable furniture piece with shelf dimensions that accommodate ~12" LPs for some god forsaken reason. in fact i was super close to just buying some horrible home and gardens cube shelf and nailing some legs into it and calling it a day if not for the discount on this matte black version of the crosley console, and the home and garden cube shelf going out of stock for the forseeable future. this looks much nicer of course and took way less effort and time than figuring out a DIY amalgamation of random parts.

Great media cabinet for the price!
I recently decided to refresh my home office with a turntable and media cabinet. This piece was perfectly sized for my space and the price was great. It arrived very well packed, and though I was worried about damage as other reviewers had reported, mine was nearly perfect. I did have one little nick on an end piece but it wasn't noticeable so I forged ahead.I'm 5'3" and 125lbs and assembled this piece by myself in about an hour. The pieces are very sturdy, and in some cases heavy, but I was able to slide everything in place on an area rug with ease. The instructions and parts were well labeled and easy to follow.Once assembled I put my Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB-BK turntable inside and it fit perfectly WITHOUT the clear lid. With the cabinet having a closing lid to protect the turntable this wasn't a deal-breaker for me so I just left the clear lid off.In my case, the cabinet color was too close to my hardwood color so I ended up painting it to make it pop and give it a little more character. I couldn't be happier with it! I took off 1 star because of the small blemish in the side piece, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cabinet.

Horrible company!
I took the time to assemble this thing. Then afterwards I proceeded to push it into my closet (this thing was heavy). Next thing you know it cracks! I’m thinking the leg broke but no the leg is fine the base breaks. I tried reaching out to the company via phone and no one answered. So then I reached out via email again slow. I kept checking over a course of days. By the time they got back to me I misplaced the “required “ information. Finally found it but it was “outside the warranty”. Then they stated that it will be an additional cost for parts and the parts are non refundable. What if the parts arrive damage? I initially called during their business hours so that I could get this handled right away I was resorted to a form of communication that I don’t really use. And then they took forever to respond which leads you to go outside the warranty. Nor did they want to honor that I reached out during the warranty. Nor did they want to acknowledge their poor response in timing. All this company cares about is money! There’s not a piece of furniture in my home that I can’t push to its new home or if I choose to push it later. According to them since I was pushing this item its on me why it broke! Who doesn’t push their heavy furniture especially if it’s only them and no one there to help! If it was of quality it would not have broke! Never again! Now I’m stuck with a broke table that I can never move or else it’s done for. A leg is easy to replace but it’s broke from the base with the leg attached and dangling.

Sleek and Functional!
This cabinet is nice and all the functions work well. It was pretty easy to put together although I did miss inserting a couple of dowels (I got excited and tried to put it together too fast LOL) on the middle section but it was easy to unscrew the cam locknuts, pop the piece back out and put in the dowels and re-secure the locknuts when all was in place. The other thing I found tricky was inserting the Second Door because the right side pin (located on inside of door panel) has only small gap up against first panel where they overlap...but maybe I missed a tip to make that easier...? Anyway - it's all put together and the top opens and closes smoothly and all components fit nicely. Haven't put any albums in the storage area yet but there is a good amount of room. I have this piece in a small room which works since I don't have much other stuff in the room but it would be better suited for a medium large room because of it's depth.

Not Bad
This console looks exactly like the picture. I actually bought it for storage…not for records. I will say I was slightly intimidated when I opened the box. This comes with a bunch of pieces to assemble. The instructions had good pictures and went faster than expected. My only recommendation is to put a blanket down when assembling the pieces. The laminate scratches easily. I was able to fix the scratches with some black furniture stain. Otherwise, for the price, appearance, and sturdiness - this is not a bad buy.
