These are great phone cases. The rubber outer case is thick, but not too thick for my small hands. I’ve used these cases for several years and every color has been attractive. I’ve been using the purple one for the past two years and it’s very pretty. I bought this black case because the price was low and I can have a spare color for less money. They’re not difficult to put on or take off. This discounted case didn’t come with instructions, but you can easily find instructions or demonstration videos online. The attachment allows you to attach your phone to your belt or whatever you choose, and it doubles as a kickstand if you push it open all the way and click it into place. Releasing it simply requires pushing the little end piece where it clicks into place. The kickstand/belt attachment also rotates with just a little strength required. It’s tight enough that it doesn’t move on its own. There are videos demonstrating how to do this online. Putting the case on requires snapping the case around your phone using the the little tabs that open and close. After you get it snapped into place around your phone, you simply wrap the rubber piece around the plastic case. It will arrive connected, so you just need to remove the rubber case to get to the plastic case. You can see the edge of the rubber case around the front. It’s harder to see with both cases the same color, but you can feel the difference between the rubber and the hard plastic case underneath. Just use your finger to pull one side away and the rest will follow. The defender case is recommended for contractors and people who might drop their phones from around ten feet, which makes carrying your phone on staircases much safer if you’re an accident waiting to happen type of person like I am. I’ve accidentally knocked my phone from a footstool to a hard floor several times and the defender case has always protected it completely. It actually bounced a little when it hit the floor each time. I’m not the gambling type so I haven’t been tempted to test it with a ten foot drop, but I would probably try it with an old broken phone if I had one just to see if the claims were true and for the entertainment it would provide. The commuter case is said to be rated for drops around six feet. I’m playing it safe with the defender case, but I might try the commuter case later when my phone gets older. If I bought the pretty commuter case now, I’d probably drop my phone down my basement stairs in some freak accident and I’d rather be safe than sorry. People who don’t suddenly lose the ability to hold onto things because of chronic illness might be okay with the commuter case. It’s said to be a little thinner and a lighter weight. My hands are small enough to fit into children’s gloves and I can grip the defender case because of the rubber outer section. The power button on the side is a little stiffer on this style than it was on the earlier iPhone SE edition when it was located on top. If it doesn’t want to work, you just need to pull the rubber piece away from that area and reposition it. It just takes a little more pressure than the old style did. That’s not a big enough issue to make me choose a less protective phone case and it’s probably more of a phone style issue than a case issue. I don’t know of any phone cases more durable than this type, so I’m planning to stick with them. Mine still look good after being used for two years.

Excellent phone case. This is my favorite phone case of all time! I have bought two of these cases for phones over the years and has never let me down. Most protection you can get for a phone. After years of use my phone still looks brand new.

best I phone 7 case that I have ever bought. I worn the first one out after 5 years. So, I bought a replacement. Easy to install, fits perfect. Very hard wearing and durable. Great protection for your I-Phone 7.

Perfect fit; I have never broken or cracked a screen using the Otterbox Defender. It's a top notch product I highly recommend to keep phones safe and pristine. Two dings people should be aware of; first the port covers rip and tear off just as easily as cheaper less durable covers, second the touch sensitivity IS slightly decreased in comparison to a stick on glass screen protector.

I’ve used OtterBox for years and the protection is unmatched—my phone has survived drops and accidental kicks without a single scratch. However, I’ve found that the belt clip consistently breaks after about a year of use. If you need rugged protection for the phone itself, this is 5 stars, but be prepared to eventually replace the holster.

I’ve used one of these with every cell phone I’ve owned. They lasted a long time. OtterBox speaks for itself. I dropped kicked a phone by accident across the floor and it slid almost 20 feet and the phone survived. The only thing I’ve ever had broken was the clip on the back and that was due to a spring and that’s the only reason I had to replace the OtterBox holder very sturdy fine fit I like the black box. The kickstand allows me to put the phone on its side and view schematics while I’m working and screenshots that I’ve made made and read notes that I’ve made.

Very sturdy build. Nice triple layer protection. Belt clip is great. put your phone in the clip with the screen facing in and you will never scratch your screen protector. I've tried many different cheaper cases that weren't Otterbox that didn't come with the belt clip and of course you slip your phone into your pocket with your keys and your screen protector gets scratched. It has a stand as well that is very handy to prop up your phone so you can eat lunch and watch Netflix at the same time. Very nice construction. Well thought out design. Not too expensive as well.

If you are willing to accept the size of this, it is worth it. I hate re-purchasing them for new phones but the quality and durability is worth it. I am a little hard on phones and this has saved my phone time and time again. I have used an otterbox since 2010 (not that it matters how long) but I've had some incidents with my phone where it has saved it. The only time it did not was an unfortunate water incident. The Good: - Parked a pick up truck ontop of it, in the snow, on gravel, over night (don't ask). Not a mark on it, perfectly fine. Only found it when I moved the truck the next day. - I drop my phone daily. The Bad: - Kinda pricey but worth it when you factor in the cost of a new phone - If a liquid lands on the main screen, it will get underneath it and the touch screen becomes useless until you clean it out. \ - Removing the otter box to clean it is a massive pain in the butt.
