Perfect for my small woodshop
It’s hard to find quality like this these days. There is so much sweatshop-made garbage out there, and it’s not worth the risk of an electrical fire to save a few bucks on something essential like this. I trust the Southwire name, and this power strip lives up to my high expectations. It’s solidly built, well made, and dependable. I would worry with a cheaper version. This thing puts my mind at ease.

Great for the kitchen
Keurig coffee pot kept tripping the old surge protector we had, and we were attracted to this one for the nice color and finish on it. The extra long cord is also nice to have if we need to move anything. It’s a nice metal surge protector, and seems to be of great quality! So far no issues, and we are very happy with it for the price!

Ridiculous Mounting Arrangement
First of all, I dislike any product made in China. We need to keep manufacturing in the USA. Very disappointing! My experience depicts early failures from Chinese products.Mounting arrangement was useless if you wanted to secure the power strip. Had to add supportive backing brace to make secure.Hoping that the metal and plating thickness are adequate for 20 Amp service. Other Chinese products I purchased had inadequate plating thickness and heated up causing a fire.On the outside, unit seems heavy duty. Time will tell.

Durable Safe 20A Unprotected Power Strip
This 20A power strip is perfect for connecting more than one surge-protected UPS to the same wall receptacle. The 6' 12/3 cord is durable and capable.Plug retention is strong. The metal case is strong. The illuminated switch is positioned such that it can be protected. But it does not have the protected cover that some TripLite commercial power strips have.Receptacles are not oriented or spaced for power cubes. They are perfect for a compact unit that accepts straight or diagonally angled plugs. It's UL listed and affordable.

Just what I needed
I had just purchased myself a new tool chest cabinet. It had everything except a power outlet built into the unit. I saw the 5 Outlet All-Metal Magnetic Power Strip with 2.4A USB, N35 Magnets, 8 Foot Cord and knew this was exactly what I needed. The magnets are strong enough to hold the power strip to the tool cabinet when unplugging a cord from one of its 5 outlets. The USB outlets are an added bonus for no longer do you have to plug your divice away from where you're working; you can do it at the sae location your at. The 8 foot cord is a nice length as well eliminating the need for an additional extension cord. I highly recommend the power strip to anybody who needs an additional power strip.

Consistently works with high draw counter top appliances
Somehow I had gotten lucky with a 15A Amazon commercial grade power strip. It worked for several years with my high power draw appliances (Breville convection oven, LG microwave, electric kettle). Then all of sudden it would consistently trip with a single appliance on (no change in outlet location). I retired it to low draw use, and decided to replace it with this 20A one.So far it appears to be well made, and everything is working as intended.

Indicator lamp failed within 2 months but Southwire came through
Contacted seller to request a replacement bulb or switch but they declined, saying it was up to the manufacturer. Thankfully Southwire was far more responsive than the seller and they dealt with the problem quickly.

Dangerous, will not trigger a CGFI outlet in case of a ground fault.
I had a specific application for purchasing this 20amp powerbar. Unfortunately, this was a waste of money because it will not trigger a CGFI outlet in case of a ground fault - which I absolutely need for safety reasons. If you don't need CGFI protection, this is an excellent, well-built, powerbar. I missed the return window, so now I'm stuck with it, it's a paper weight now.
