I put these lures to the test on the 4th of July holiday. I cut the leader and setup two spinning rigs, one with a popping cork. My father-in-law lives on a channel in Corpus Christi, so I spent a night just fishing in the back yard. I caught 7 speckled trout (3 keepers), one red fish and endless hard heads on these lures. I recommend bringing a little black light (flashlight) to 'charge' the lure every 3 or 4 casts. They glow like crazy after 15-20 seconds of black light, so I found myself 'recharging' every few casts.These are significantly more durable than 'Berkeley Gulp' lures; a major boon in my opinion. After a night of catching fish in the channel, both lures were still 100% in-tact. When I fish with Gulps, I lose some lure every bite or two.I'm including a couple of photos of the 'glow'. One photo with the lights off (still daytime though with lights on in the hallway). Then another with lights on since its impressive to see any glow in full lighting. The eyes even glow orange after being charged.5 stars.

These work pretty well as long as you aren't fishing for smarter species. Be sure to soak in your favorite "smell" or "Flavor"

One gets what one pays for, I suppose and that appears to apply here. While the molded "lure" appears to be sturdy and lifelike, the hooks are dull and of poor quality. I could not get one to puncture the cellophane bag the individual lures come in. There is wide variation in the points and barbs of the hooks. I will not be using the included leader and swivel as they do not look very sturdy. Instead I will tie a length of fluoro leader directly to the hook, after sharpening the hook of course. Had the hook been threaded so that the point exited the top of the "bait" it would have made the lure more weedless which would have been a plus. As I plan to make the hooks barbless, I will experiment with relocating the hook or perhaps replacing the OEM hook with one of better quality. Lastly, they are small. Not counting the antennae, the "shrimp" are about 2.5 inches long. OK for an inexpensive impulse buy but I don't see these as being a tackle box jewel.

Just received mine yesterday and was able to use them today. Personal preference I don't like fishing in big open lakes cause I suck and apparently don't know what I'm doing. Fished in a big lake and started off using what I'm use too. With no luck I decided to try these and within 20 minutes I was able to reel in 2 bass and miss the opportunity on a third one. Could have been right place at the right time but either way I caught them with these lures. The look, weight and feel are awesome in my opinion. Not too heavy where they just sink right away but also heavy enough to cast it out a ways. I took the leader off for a more natural/real look and I'm glad I did. Will certainly purchase more when the time is needed.
