I love that it's very durable. The magnets in the dog door make it very rigid and make it snap back into place quickly. This is great for weather proofing but this scared my puppy when he was little. We removed the magnets until he was comfortable using the door and then just had to retrain him with treats once we put the magnets back on so we could use our AC. I am very happy with the product, it makes it so easy for my puppy to get to the patio to use his grass patch when I'm not home.

This is a great dog door! The craftsmanship and quality of the door is high end. It fits different sliding door sizes with it's spring-loaded mechanism and easy to install. I highly recommend this dog door.

Sending Back.The description stated dual pane, thermo. This is not dual or is it thermo. It is low E.Also it was 1" too short. What was sent to me was already a return. Arrived poorly packaged with ripped corners.Don't be fooled like I was. Don't buy it.

I wish the dark bronze unit would have come with black foam seal tape. I spray painted the gray foam black. The unit even came with a screw driver. An easy installation.

The media could not be loaded.  Upon receiving our first set up we immediately noticed that the bottom track mortising was not lining up. It would appear that it was either mortise wrong or had already been returned by someone else after they had tried to modify it. We got our brand new one about a week later and I realized that I still want to use the sliding glass door to enter and exit our back patio. However, there was no option to still be able to use the lock on our sliding glass door. So instead I removed the stationary half of the sliding glass door and put it on the other jam side. It worked perfect! I did have to pre-drill a couple of new holes in the bottom of that door and move the padded doorstop to a better location so that when I opened the sliding door it didn’t do any damage. Pictures are coming! Highly recommend this way of doing it because now you can lock your door!

Quality on this is amazing! Much better than any other pet flap I have gotten and there have been many. I had a handyman install and it is permanently fixed on to the stationary panel of glass with MANY screws and it is very secure. It would not be possible to kick this door in and I do not feel it reduces the security of the home in any way, actually I believe it increases it since now the big door can be closed and the pets can still visit the outside.The pet flap itself is a bit heavy, but would stand up to winter snows and blustery breezes.. it comes with an adaptor to keep the pet flap open but I am a mean lady and make my fur babies work to escape the house.. or to rejoin my company!

Excellent quality. Looks great. Took a little encouragement to get my family's dogs (a senior 17 lb terrier and a 28 lb terrier) to go through it the first few days, but once they got the hang of it, the've been using it non-stop without any problems. We tried fresh chicken/meat, etc., which did not help at all (one of the dogs is incredibly stubborn and does not like new things - it was just a matter of him watching the other dogs go through it for a few days, and then he started to use it on his own). One tip: removing the magnet at the bottom of the flap helped make it a little easier to push open for them as they learned (we had to push it partially open for them for a day). My own 21 lb rat terrier was familiar with dog doors and loved it from the first try. Highly recommend.

I did not receive any of the Instructions, paperwork, lock, etc.. I only received the door. Package was banged up and taped up but not open. The door is great, and I figured out how to install it but I would have really liked to have the missing items as well. Especially at this price point.
