Tommee TippeeDigital No Touch Forehead Thermometer for Baby, Fast 2 Second Results, Fever Indicator and Memory Function

Just spent 4 stressful hours in A&E with our 12 day old daughter. After crying more than usual we decided to check her temperature - the first time we had used the thermometer other than testing on ourselves. It consistently showed 38, so after calling a doctor we were advised to go to A&E. Our own temperatures were showing 36.9 so we thought this was a clear indication of a fever.Upon arriving at A&E the nurses in-ear thermometers were reading 36.4, while the Tommee tipee showed 38+. The hospital staff mentioned that these forehead thermometers are highly influenced by the environment around them.We will be replacing this with a simple cheap under arm thermometer.

I like many people thought this would be a great product, simple to use and as it was made by a well known brand - it had to be good at this price. However, the temperature fluctuates each time you take a reading and basically isn’t accurate. It causes no end of panic as a new mum and several unnecessary calls to 111, trips to the doctors and to A&E. Simply put - Don’t buy it.

I would give this 0 stars if I could it was reading 38.8 and my baby was 34.4 I measured under the arm luckily other wise if I depended on this I would have took her to the hospital. Always a inaccurate reading - luckily I always double check with under the arm thermometer. I’ve complained and had a replacement which is doing the same as the first one.

You need to get used to using it as you have to be precise but overall good product. I used ear thermometer working in a hospital and this one is much more user friendly.

Absolute rubbish. Constantly inaccurate readings. Always reading 1 /1.5 degrees higher than any other thermometer. One hospital trip with one month baby for no reason due to inaccurate reading. Bought another recently half the price so much better abs more importantly accurate
