Dreambaby Swivel Appliance Lock with Ez Indicator, Silver, 2 Pack

I am giving this product a 3 because I was extremely excited to find something that did not seem to be a hassle to install or use. I installed one on my over but to my surprise it did not work. Apparently this product does not fit all ovens, I have a GE Profile and the top overhangs the door so when it is installed and you try to open the oven door the door open right up. Other than this I think it is a smart ideal.

It's a little bulky but it is made of tough plastic. Works like they said it would.

We have a stainless steel Frigidaire oven and this lock does not install properly. The oven door is not flush with the panel with the control knobs. There is an angle to the control knob panel so you have to stick it only 3/4 of the way on that panel but then there isn't enough strength to keep the door locked. You can pull the door right open when it's in the locked position. While this might work with some other companies, I wouldn't suggest it on a newer Frigidaire ovens.

This has been great at keeping our 3 year old out of the dryer. I was hoping to use one on my oven as well, but unfortunately it's too big. We'll have to go another route for that. However, great product, it's been a few months and I have no issues with it at all.

Didn't fit the oven or dishwasher. Would have been a good purchase if they did. Check to ensure before purchasing.

Works for younger children! My son figured it out pretty quickly by 2.5, but my friends 2 year olds haven't yet!

Extremely cheap product. The lock doesn't work well and you will be lucky to have it fit your oven. It does not fit our oven so we tried to give it to friends cause they are so expensive. Well, we haven't found another oven that they do fit.Strong DON'T BUY,BUYER BEWARE!

Although it looks fragile as it is made of plastic, It works as expected and it is easy to lock and unlock.

Look the part, really sticky glue. You need a 6x9 square flat surface as the same level as your door to be able to apply these so usage can be limited especially if you have a double oven where controls are in a tight space.Bigger issue is the latch, it's really easy to twist the lever to an open position so these can be considered a deterrent only, don't turn your back or leave the room. Would not recommend

Doubted the effectiveness of this as soon as I took it out of the packing. I gave it to my 2 1/2 year old to see if he could rotate the mechanism, before applying to the oven. He was able to rotate it immediately as it does not actually “lock”.

these should be great but my son managed to unlock them when he was 18 months old therefore rendering them useless! One thing i would say in their favour is the adhesive used to stick them down is fantastic as i now cant get the ruddy things off!

These are amazing. I have a very strong 17 month old,who would not stop opening washing machine, fridge, dishwasher and oven. Luckily this one stops him from opening oven. When I received it, i looked at it and didnt have faith in it.... honestly. Then my husband took it out, stuck them to the oven... after this my toddler attempted to open oven for couple of times and then gave up.

These work really well whilst my child is less than two years old. However they are plastic, so I feel they might not last very longwith my boy tugging at them. I would be willing to pay the extra if these were constructed of metal.
