Koppu Premium Pure Solid Moscow Mule Copper Mug 16 oz

The first time used it I had blue/green spots show up on the bottom. That was almost immediately after I put clean water inside. They told me it was a normal thing with copper but the more that I look at it I see the sides are not doing that. Only the bottom is spotting so I don't understand why it would do that. I feel as if I'm drinking out of a dirty mug. I don't want to drink out of something so tarnished or whatever it is. They did not offer me a refund when I asked about it. Not happy at all. My opinion this is a very cheap copper mug and I'm not sure the bottom is real copper.

This mug is listed on Amazon as a 16 oz. mug. I ordered 4 of them. When I received them, they looked a little small so I measured the liquid one mug would hold. It turns out they are 12 oz. mugs. I contacted the seller describing my experience and this is the response they provided, "Hello, our cups are uniform, 16oz or so, thank you." I am returning the mugs.The quality of the mugs are great and if you want 12 oz mugs, these will work well. If you want what they tell you they are, 16 oz mugs, look elsewhere!

Why Copper Mug? If you are like me, that was also my first question when I saw this product. We are used to plastic, glass, ceramic, stainless steel, aluminum, and now..copper?? But why? Here is some explanations I got while searching about it.The legend of this copper mug started because of Moscow Mule, a cocktail drink made with fizzy ginger beer, tangy lime juice and served in a copper mug. The most scientific benefit of using copper mug is the temperature. The cold metal is highly effective at insulating the cold temperature of any liquid. So, it is good for summertime drinking or for anyone who likes chilled drinks. The taste benefit is a bit subjective. However for Moscow Mule, the copper mugs does enhance the individual flavors of the ginger beer, vodka and lime. As for the experience and presentation, this unusual color and extra light weight mug, surely is a nice new experience in drinking chilled beverage.Since I am currently pregnant, and I also don’t drink alcoholic beverages, I tried the mug with my juice. It does stay colder for longer time on a hot day here. The handle and rim of the mug becomes chilled as well, adding more sensation in drinking. I think for anyone who likes chilled beverage, this copper mug is worth a try.This is my honest opinion in exchange of an opportunity to try and review this product.

I'd heard about Moscow Mule mugs and finally decided to get one to try out. There are many different styles available and this one is a bit less fancy than others I checked out, however, I liked the simplicity of the design of this mug. Mine arrived with a scuff mark on the bottom of the cup which made me wonder if I was sent a used or returned item. Other than that flaw, the mug is as expected. I don't drink Moscow Mules but I do love gin and tonics with lime and I love my drinks cold. The copper really picks up the chill from the ice cubes and helps to keep my drink colder than my normal glass tumblers. I love that I have such a unique mug to use and even my kids have commented on how nice it looks.
