Solid enough, arrived damaged
The griddle press is nice and heavy, the melting dome seems to be of high quality. The box arrived shredded and the stainless steel dome was dented.

My smash burgers will beat up your smash burgers!
So, I used to use a pot bottom to smash my burgers. You know the saying... Those pot bottom burgers make the world go round. Well, the handle was beginning to break, so I had to buy a press. I bought this press. Mainly because it was not cast iron. I used it last night to make burgers and it worked very nice. I'm not thrilled about the ribs in it and wish it was flat. Easier to make them rounder that way. Yeah, it's true, I believe in the flat burger theory. That wooden handle is a nice touch too. Gets greasy easy but who cares. I'm at peace with my grease.That little dome it comes with, pretty dang awesome too. I have a sheet pan with a rack. I fill it with hot water and when I put the double cheeseburger patties on the rack, I put the dome over it and let the heat help melt the cheese more. Works really good.

Good tools for using cast iron pan
Anyone who have a 9 inch or bigger cast iron frying pan should have this set too. The cover is excellent for controling my cooking temperature and moisture. The press make my hamburger meat and bacin frying easy.

Good quality materials
The product was as advertised and had no defects. Measurements were accurate and fit the pan well. The underside of the press is easy to clean with warm water and a brush.

Surprisingly well made for the price. The cast burger press is heavy and works well. The melting lid is sturdy and does the job. Perfect for making smash burgers. Recommended.
