The Easy joint filler is a perfect solution for new joints AND existing joints. It Is NOT a Polymeric Sand. It will be solid at all the time. To use the Easy joint filler on existing joints remove old filler with a power washer and install the Easy joint filler following the instructions on the the package/can or bucket. Excellent for residential and light commercial use For pedestrian loads. For joint widths from 1/4 up to 10 For joint depths from 1/2 up to 3. BY far the best permeable mortar
I purchased some polymeric sand at a home improvement store to set some pavers.I followed the instructions exactly but was extremely disappointed in the results: a semi-solid type of mortar that would not set hard like a regular mortar. In fact it would easily become displaced and pulled out of the joints. I was about to replace all the polysand mortar with regular mortar but that would have left me with a rigid mortar that would have no give to it and would easily crack with movement of the pavers.Then I discovered the Rompox mortar. There is no comparison between the poly type sand mortars and the Rompox.The Rompox comes in a vacuum-sealed bag and is pre-mixed. Just pour it on the pavers, brush it in, wash it in with a water spray and your done. The results are like a night and day difference than with the polysand. This sets up like a real mortar, yet it is permeable and will not crack like cement-type mortars. A little more expensive than the polymetric sand type, but well worth the extra cost. This stuff is made in Germany and obviously has that German-engineered touch in it.

Buy it. Have tried many other options and have had to redo almost yearly. Wish someone would have told me about this years ago.
