It worked. Make sure you...
Make sure you follow instructions and make sure the burner on stove is not on high when you put clothes in pot or you might burn your clothes. I actually did heat for full hour b/c the fabric of one item was mix polyester and elastine and it was really hard to get the dye to set in that fabric and technically it did not make those shorts midnight navy (lighter but nice ocean blue), but the other shorts that are a more typical polyester cotton fabric those shorts definitely were dyed midnight navy as expected.

A great way to refresh your favorite garment!
I have a favorite office shirt-as a matter of fact-I have 5 of the same shirt. After wearing them for a couple years-they have faded. I took a chance on trying this dye, what a great refresh for my shirts. The color has made my shirts look like new. I dyed the shirts 3 months ago-and after wearing and washing them weekly-my shirts still look great. I will definitely dye some other clothes and use this dye. Easy to use. I dyed mine in a wash machine-used the hot water available-and yes-it worked great!

The directions are TINY, but the color was great
The directions are super simple to follow, but I could hardly read them on the packaging, so I had to come back here to view the pic with the product! But color was good. Got a nice gray color, not deep black, as expected. As directed, WEAR GLOVES! It will stain skin and nails if you’re dying the fabric without gloves on. I forgot my gloves before I started the process, and said oh well after I was already elbow deep in my dye bath…and now have a nice mechanics look to sport for the last couple of days 😊!

Excellent color! Not UV resistant at all...
Used on roll out awning valance panel. Was Grey and dyed to sapphire blue, came out mint! Boiling water/steam and proper mixing ratios according to the label is the most difficult parts of the process. Pretty easy. Put the valance back up and torrential rains for 2 days had no effect on the color at all. less than 3 days of direct sun faded it to purple, terrible. I am dying it again and applying scotchgard outdoor sun and water shield to see how much that helps. Will follow up if this was a complete waste of time and money (also trying the dye on the 4 curtain panels on the gazebo as blue ones were not an option).

I love this dye!
I use this brand of dye all the time for my cosplays and I love it! You can’t see it very well in this photo😅, but I used this to dye a top for my gumi cosplay. Works perfectly, doesn’t fade after multiple washes even in hot water, and only used like maybe half the bottle. My all time favorite dye!

Would give zero stars if I could
Did not work at all.Purchased two bottles of Rit Synthetic Dye - one of Kentucky Sky and one of Apricot Orange. When pouring the bottles into the water, the Apricot orange came out as a thick dense color, creating "clouds" in the water until stirred. When pouring the Kentucky Sky, the dye simply mixed with the water - the dye appeared to be thinner and did not create the thick dense clouds that needed to be mixed.Upon dying the articles of clothing according to directions, the Apricot Orange came out a very vivid, deeply dyed orange color, it is phenomenal. I also dyed over a mauve and a yellow shirt and the results were outstanding. The Kentucky Sky barely tinted a white shirt with the faintest of blue, and it did not change the look of thr mauve or yellow shirts at all. This was absolutely a total waste of time, money, and effort. The Kentucky Sky did not work as advertised at all.

OK
I don't knowhow these people are getting the vibrant colors but I followed the directions and did NOT get great results.

Great on clear plastic
I used Kentucky sky on a clear kindle paper-white case on a whim to see if it would work. I was expecting maybe a slight tint but wow the results are better than expected. I let the case sit in the dye over night and it turned out perfect. A true blue color. !

brilliant orange
This dye did exactly what I wanted it to. It dyed synthetic fabric a brilliant orange colour. I kept the hat in the water for 20 minutes and it came out so well. I plan to try some cotton T-shirts because it is a fun colour and would be good for safety when riding a bike.

Good stuff
If your gonna dye scales use the dye more not the all purpose, and colour will be darker then expected as well

Expensive
Product is great, price is not. DOUBLE THE COST OF RETAIL. Only ordered as someone scooped up local supply and we needed sooner than reorder time frame of regular retailer.

A little lighter than in the pictures
Overall great dye for SYNTHETIC fibers; I've used many colors before with no complaints; this one just came out a little lighter than in the pictures so i had to mix it with black which wasn't an issue
