This was just what I was looking for, and was a perfect match for my car. It is important to stay on top of the door and hood dings in order to prevent premature rusting. I was happy to find this.

The touch-up paint color matches very well, but the metallic flakes rise to the surface during drying, so if you try to sand it the color will end up about one shade too dark to match.I do not recommend using the clear coat- I tried to use it and it went on and dried very un-evenly. After it dried, I tried to sand it smooth and it peeled off the car (which was a good thing, since it looked so bad). Unfortunately it had softened the original paint under it when it was applied, so even though I was able to remove it after careful sanding and detailing, the spot where I tried to apply it now has a wavy finish.

I ordered this pen because it was about 10$ cheaper than the local GM dealer. Let me say I was pleasantly surprised. I color matched from my VIN because I wanted it to be exact.The paint dried very quickly and the clear coat did as well. I was able to touch up with the paint/clear coat in about half an hour total. The pen tip portion Id recommend “bleeding” by pressing into a shop rag/paper towel after you shake it up as the color was a little lighter upon first push. The brush applicator looks like a nail polish brush and the clear coat one is a little triangular sponge. As the pen says, always open with the tip UP: whether you’re opening the paint or clear coat portion. The fiberglass cleaning tip can cause scuffs so use with caution when you’re cleaning out scratches.Overall, a great purchase. There is plenty of paint and clear coat. I was able to cover a lot of the smaller scratches/scuffs. For the larger areas, I’ll probably get a can of spray paint. But this pen is amazing. Highly recommend.

Same paint stick you would find at the dealer but for much less money. My truck is a unique color that was not carried in any store, I was just about resigned to having to schlep into the dealership and pay through the nose until I found this product at a great price. The fiberglass pencil portion is great for cleaning out stone chips and knocking down a surface before the paint is applied. The two stage nature of this product leads to great results when prepped and applied properly. Not only will this make your car look better, but it will help stave off rust here in the Northeast.

This is actually a kit with the pigment & brush in one end and a clear coat with a brush in the other end. It was a perfect match and very easy to use and control the application of the paint to small dings. Pigment dries in 1-5 days (depending upon weather) and then you can apply the clear coat in the other end of the tube.

A truly awesome product. Used the paint code to match my Tahoe perfectly. Took care of dozens of small nicks, chips, scratches, and dings that accumulated over 10 years and 130,000 miles. Afterwards, well, the wife was seriously impressed with how well the touch up made the truck look. Even got compliments from coworkers at the office. The paint pen and brush combo really worked to solve the variety of application needs on a broad spectrum of nicks and dings. Now it looks new again after a wash. Well done!
