I learned a lot from the last few chapters
I have been meditating for the last 6 months. I did not gain a lot of new insight from the first few chapters but the last few were very helpful. I have learned and will practice these new techniques!

Excellent for meditation newbies.
This book was very easy and delightful to read. It had all the basis covered to introduce tohe readers and potential practicioners to the art of meditation. It was worded as to not to scare or judge the reader. The The information was direct but very inviting. I think this book was very thorough and entertaining. Well worth the selling price.

Meditation techniques.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to learn meditation techniques. Easy to understand and gives you several choices and to continue and not beat yourself up if you don't think that you can do this. Gives several techniques and their histories.

Too high level, doesn't add any value
Yes I was looking for a beginners' guide but this is no guide to anything just a few paragraphs put together with no insight.Just one page and a half on midful meditation? And just stating the obvious?What I would expect from a guide is a routine, how to properly do it, the techniques, what to do if your mind wanders.Find a quiet place and observe your feelings be mindful... I could have found that info on Google. What a waste
